<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Australian Superbike Championship contender Russell Holland went under the lap record during a test at Winton yesterday but then had a minor crash on an in lap that has cast a shadow of doubt over his fitness for round six of the YMF Loan sponsored championship at Winton on October 22.
While Russell described the crash as 'soft' unfortunately he landed awkwardly and broke his collarbone in the fall.
The Robern Racing man is currently on the road to Melbourne to investigate surgery options and is hopeful that the injury will prove only a minor setback and that he will still be strong enough for Winton and is hopeful of challenging Yamaha's Jamie Stauffer all the way to the wire in order to set up an exciting championship finale at Eastern Creek on November 19.

"The new team is awesome. They are as determined as me and we fit together great, so it has all of the ingredients for a winning combination. Make no mistake, with the support that we have, and the desire within the team, we plan on regaining both of the titles that I won in 2004.”

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Honda has confirmed that Russell Holland and Bryan Staring have signed to ride for the distributor supported Honda Australia factory team in 2007.
Staring, 19, and Holland, 22, will compete in both the Supersport and Superbike classes in the Australian Road Racing Championship series next year.
Holland, who has been riding for the Robern Racing Team with the support of Honda Australia this year, has continued to demonstrate that he is a formidable opponent.
He currently sits in second place in the Superbike Championship, just 18 points shy of series leader Jamie Stauffer with two rounds remaining. Holland has finished on the podium at every round so far this year, including two firsts, two seconds and one third place round result.
"Russell is having an incredible year," said Joe Rocket Honda Team Manager Paul Free. "And he is currently competing as a privateer. I am very much looking forward to seeing what he can achieve with the full support of our main Honda Team."
Holland is clearly happy about the new arrangement. "It has been what I've been working toward for some time, so obviously I'm stoked."
Bryan Staring will also have double the chance to prove himself next year piloting the CBR600RR and CBR1000RR.
After having a stab in the Superbike class at the recent MotoGP Support Classes, Staring who has been competing for the Jardine Honda race team this year, showed that he is more than comfortable on the bigger machine.
He finished with a fifth, fourth and third place in the toughest of battles at the international Phillip Island event on a Superbike, and is looking forward to the challenge for next year.
"2006 has been a huge learning year for me so far," said the recently transplanted Western Australian Champion from his new home in Melbourne.
"I think next year all the elements that I have learned will start falling into place and we will be even more competitive."
