Posted: Fri Jun 23, 2006 7:51 pm Post subject: My Picks!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Out on a limb as everyone is this year...here goes

1-EDWARDS---Because he has the race pace and grid position.
2-HAYDEN---Because he needs the win to break these guy's!!!!
3-PEDROSA---Better than hayden, but bad grid position and young.
4-HOPKINS---Tires will fade on him, and his race pace to me wasn't there.
5-ROBERTS JR.---Good bike steady experienced rider.
6-STONER---Knows he needs to stop crashing so will settle here.
7.NAKANO---No race pace..will scare himself into this position!!!!!
8-VERMEULEN---Good for him
9-CHECA---Wow
10-MELANDRI---Wow do I have him to low?
11-ELLISON---Wow
12-DE PUNIET---This could hurt me he looks fairly good this weekend
13-HOFMANN---Gibbers Luck???!!!
14-SILVA---New I think!!!
15-TAMADA---Might have to change this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then again lol it is about time one of the big names binned it towards the end of the race in a battle don't ya think?!!!
Just trying to say that I think that the top 5 this year compared to years prior are alot more inexperienced or at least more inexperienced at podium battles....makes people put there brain on a lamp post!!!

Rossi will try to keep up then pull off
Caperossi will not race
Ellias out
Gibber's out
Wow what a mess what is your guy's take?

Going by Qualifying im saying:

1) Hayden (Right now, Race - Rossi = Hayden)
2) Edwards (Stong in FP, strong in QP, everyones on a level platform for track experience, and the Tornado`s feeling good)
3) Pedrosa (Natural skill and Michelins)
4) Hopkins (Shitzuki and Bridgestones)
5) Nakano (Set for a good finish, NOT scared of anything, prisoner the the Zed)
6) Roberts (His tyres will see him past Checa easily)
7) Checa (Hey, Ducati, none of MY bones are broken, you .......s!)
8) Vermulen (Show Crashey you ARE a threat, Chris. Bloody better rider than him, anyway)
9) Stoner (Still a ...., but better than 12th)
10) Melandri (Tough ......., gotta love him, but not set to make any miracles)
11) Hofmann (Show up Gibbers my ass)
12) Rossi (no wowing the fans this weekend, IF he races)
13) Tamada (Someone fire this guy, I never thought I`d see the ruthless HRC wearing rose-tinted glasses)
14) Capirossi (Sad but true)
15) DePuniet (Kawasaki shot themselves in the foot when they gave OJ's bike to this average rider)
16) Ellison (Not taking advantage of an injured grid at all)
17) Silva (No hero, No expericence, No tyre life and No engine power, not exactly race winning formula)
18) Monebags (Pathetic and a low move, even for D'antin, I want to see Silva show him up)

I picked Colin to come first and it looked like it was going to happen until the very end
<

2nd i picked Hayden because he is so god damn consistant with a fluent riding style.
3rd chose Hopkins cause i really wanna see him get a grid spot

Looks like all were wrong
<

I hoped Colin won but when he came off at that final corner it proved just how hard those 2 guys were pushing themselves, Hayden was very lucky.

I think out of all the predictions everyone`s made all year, only one has been right. Just proves how unpredictable this sport, and in particular this season, is

I felt soooo bad for Colin. That freakin guy finally has a bike that can compete and he bins it. I can't believe they both almost crashed. Nicky is indeed extremely lucky.

Best thing about tough guys like Colin is they take that sorta stuff like a man. For a lot of riders, that crash would be very bad for their confidence. But it just spurs guys like Edwards on. Right now, he`s not thinking "waa waa i lost a race and broke a nail" he`s thinking "How close was I to winning that one?" I'd say Edwards will be one to watch in the coming weeks. Especially Donny. He`s had a good run there in the past hasn`t he? And he`s gonna rock up there with tons of determination. Definately a podium, if not, race win contender I'm thinking.

Go Colin!!! Go Colin!!!

Rossi would of nudged Hayden off te track at that point if he was in Colin's position like he did with Sete in 2005.

I don't quite agree with that...I think Rossi only punted Sete off the track because it was Sete...he knew he had Sete mentally beaten he just decided to put a stamp on it for good measure. Sete hasn't been the same since.

doc i dont agree if its there to be won then rossi finds a hole, he was ona weird line for half a mile, inside outside wotever it takes, its the diff between a win and a sete?????????? 2nd.

What happened at Jerez was a bit wierd I reckon. I don`t think Rossi would do it again, not even to Gibernau. It looked like a but of a mistake to me. Clumsy riding on Rossi`s part. That said it was definately no accident. I doubt he will do it again, especially to Nicky.
