My apologies for the above snarky remarks toward moto vudu. I should be bigger than that.

I am really ecstatic about Johann getting pole. I had such high hopes for this man, and I am thrilled with him showing how good he really is compared to most of the field. I worried that he signed with Tech3 too soon, and I worry even more, now. I hope Yamaha comes through and gives him what he deserves, although I think they are too ridged, and contract limited, to really feed him the equipment food he deserves like the MovieTime chimps eat.

I think it will be Dovi again for this one.
He is superb in the wet. Three in a row.
Keep them coming.

Wow! Petrucci. What a revelation. Great race. Marquez' save was amazing. The Old Man - friggin' impressive.

Excellent race. Rossi & Petrucci took it to them.

So sns boring a race ...... but GO DOVI!!! Leading the WC ........ can't wait till he becomes a contender!

Maybe, he's definitely under a lot of pressure at the moment.

Flags may have just cost Petrucci a race win. The blue flags didn't wave for the back markers.

Did Zarco do his ride through?

Unfortunately no coverage (TV) where I am in the boonies so had to watch timesheets only but on a pure parochial note ........... good stuff Jack.

Plus, less parochial but also a full credit her to Abraham as well

Rossi, well no matter how much we may believe that he has received benefits over years the facts remain that you do not win the number of races and titles purely on the benefit, you need to be able to apply and he has been applying for longer than some of his competitors have been on earth, so those smarts that have been developed were put to play once again. Seemed to be good consistent lap times with a bit of management, although I suspect things got a little close and unpredictable for a while, but in the end, the old guy ruled.

Petrucci put on another good wet weather performance and I will admit that I wondered if he would take the opportunity should it arise, given his past form near Rossi but he tried as, afterall, a win is a win and a satellite Ducati has not won a race yet.

Credit also here to Crutchlow, Dovi and Marquez. The race winning string had to end sometime for Dovi and really, Rossi has ruled Assen for many years (the old circuit) so it is of no surprise that he ruled it again in 2017.

Lorenzo did as he predicted in an interview I read, which was that if the weather was such he knew he would struggle as he cannot get the heat or feeling from the tyre (same as Pedrosa commented) and (queue the usual here), but a point is a point and no doubt he, along with the team will go away disappointed.

Turning out to be an exceptional season.

It was a dry race mate. Petrucci had a great race, blue flags not waving for back markers might have stopped him winning also.

Ta man, I saw a wet race called on one of the sites I was on (some of the online commentary mentioned drying etc).

On that though, if it was dry the whole way than WTF to DP and JL ?

Were they waved at all though?
