I think thats why stoner is so good at adapting to road racing.
McCoy lit up the back too much, we did see smoke with him.
Stoner controls it on much more delicately perhaps.
Allied to that there is now, even on Casey's bike, a modicum of electronics which is still sufficient to restrict the full out powerslides that we used to see in the era of the 500's and the 990's
Who ever thinks the 990's didn't have traction control are in complete denial. Ruben Xaus and cardoso did the shittiest season of their lives on a 990's with out traction control and guess what was their biggest (and only excusable) complaint? the total lack of TC in their inferior bikes whilist the top front guys did have.
It was all Rossi complaining about the damn electronics on Stoners bike, if he hadn't opened his mouth back in 2007 there are plenty of electronics threads on forums that would of never existed. Still only to aknowlegde that CS is the guy who uses the least TC of them all.
who saiod the 990's didn't have tc ? dont you think tc has evolved over the years ??
Yes, obviously. But everyone is talking about it like the 800 era is the one that started using TC and electronics.
Also everyone talks about the 990's as indomable beasts while in my opinion the 800's are riskier to ride at full speed.
I don't think many would argue with that. Ironic that they came about for safety reasons. I think its obvious the 800's have a far more evolved tc plus other electronic aids compared to the early 990's
Correct but since it was Rossi using the best out there and not complaining noone gave any attention to it so it's safe to say we don't know too much about it from back then. Now it's a non stop BS about the TC. why? just guess.

Absolutely. We i guess are not seeing massive highsides and hence life-threatening injuries as much, but accidents serious enough to cause disabling injuries appaer more common, presumably because wher the limit now lies is hard to judge through the veil of the electronics.
I remember biaggi for one complaining, especially has he only had the slipper clutch on the early M1. To judge that early pioneering TC against todays is laughable. Did you watch gp back then ?
Please keep in mind that i live in Spain, this is the first time i'm disscussing about MotoGP with non-spanish people.
I really started watching GP500 when Doohan Started winning on the NSR, even though i assisted to the first ever GP race at Catalunya circuit (I was 8 years old) i never followed it closely again, until what i mentioned before but was allways hearing about it since i was very young because my mom allways loved it.
Back to spanish people, here in Spain absolutely noone i knew had a frikkin clue about what you said about Max, maybe hard-core experts did know but not the average viewer like me and Co. Now everyone keeps going on about it all the time. Same as with the stupid bike development/setting, Vale said it once, now everyone goes on about how Hee-Haw doesn't know ...., neither does Casey but Pedrosa is good and Rossi is an engineer undercovered as a pilot.
BTW was the M1 called M1 when Max rode it? < real question again.
