Aragon - The Race Thread - Spoilers

That looked nasty for nicky, I don't think the run off are great a moto 2 bike hit an unprotected barrier hard in qual yesterday

Yeah that was rough for Hayden. The impact must of been around 80-100km/h, not good for a world championship circuit. Hope he is ok. Pedders looks like he has blown it wide open. Thinking about ducati improvements, visually Rossi is having a harder time passing the stragglers than Pedrosa had last week. Giving that peddles was passing compacted first lap traffic. Rossi don't look nowhere as quick

There is only the race for third left. Ben will begin the reverse of shame and Dovi will pass or stay ahead of his team mate.

Once Pedrosa was past Lorenzo the race was over. Boring race from that point onwards except for the Dovi-Cal battle

Well my rider went ... over tea kettle...damn!

Pedro had that Honda in the wind, nothing Lorenzo could do but watch him ride off into the sunset.

....... two weeks to go before the next race....damn!

That was bad for Hayden, hell even I was shouting at him to jump off the bike, hitting that barrier was only going to end one way!! I'm glad he's okay though, could have been really nasty for him.

Great ride by Pedrosa and a wonderful battle for third, I was wiling Cal to get by and I thought he'd done it a couple of times, but Dovizioso was just too good. Felt a little sorry for Spies, he seemed to be going so well but ended up behind both the Tech 3 guys somehow. Good recovery from Rossi after his little brush with Rea I thought too.

So if Pedrosa keeps winning like that and Stoner comes back and can get between him and Lorenzo, this championship is far from over, right? Especially if Loranzo has no more new engines to use.

from what i've heard the engine situation is under control, no worries there. would hate for a mechanical dnf or grid penalty to play a deciding role anyway!

the big question mark for me is how fast stoner will be back up to speed, in any case 33 points isn't that much. just think of how lorenzo almost lost in in the chicane, had that been a high side dani would only be 13 points behind jorge.

anything can still happen and i'm quite happy that dani is forced to ride for the win instead of just settling for 2nd and 3rd place finishes like he did in the beginning of the year

the aspar boys looked really good early in the race even with 20kph less on the straight.

...... race by rossi, misano was really just down to testing and hence having a set up to use.

a bit gutted because of bradl, thought the podium might be possible today. but i won't criticize a rookie who rides so well and only lost the bike for the second time. after having de puniet and elias crash out 5 times per weekend LCR should be really happy to keep repair cost down at a minimum.glad he will be testing with the honda boys,he deserves hondas support and hopefully a full hrc kit next year.

i'm not sure about showa suspension and nissin brakes but i would have thought bautista ought to do much better this year. any news on whether he will keep the gresini ride for next year?

if only rea would ride as calm and mature in wsbk as he did in his 2 races onboard a gp bike with very limited track time before the races.

maybe he would win a couple of races less and stay just ahead of his teammates, but he wouldnt be the villain of choice in SBK.

go johnny

Ben Spies just cannot beat the Tech 3 boys! What is the deal with Ben? He seemed to perform better when he rode the tech 3 machine than he does on the fact M1!

Rode in about an hour ago. Beautiful day, a bit chilly and windy at 7 AM, buy beautiful. Great races from our vantage point. Had the two corners just before the back straight and then the big straight disappearing into the distance. It was definitely a two horse race. Once Lorenzo and Pedrosa got a lap under them they were gone and then Pedrosa checked out. It was real windy in Alcaniz today, may have not been very obvious but it was something they all had to contend with, and me the entire hour and a half back. Nothing like a 40 kph headwind to break your neck!

Not many pictures this year, but I'll have a weekend's adventures thread up in a few days with pictures of the fiestas, the bikes and the bulls.

Taken to hospital for further checks, but everything reported OK. Left the track at over 100mph and hit the wall around 40mph! Not a Hayden fan, but I did not enjoy seeing that happen

For gods sake can that wee greetin faced .... get back on a bike? There's no banter on here coz all the Stoner fans are at home knitting and crying.

Holy ...., got the shivers when Nicky crashed, not good, thank god he's ok. Thought Rossi did well coming back through, didn't get caught up in any ..... on his way back. Not much else to say, Cal and Dovi, it's personal! Jorge and Dani, once Dani hit the front it was game over, not exactly rivetting. Spies, ...... Forst you have to beat your team mate, and for gods sake, don't get beaten by the satellite Yamahas.

Moto2 was awesome though!

Practically a done deal - everything in place bar a signature.

Having played the trump card at Misano it's clear from Vale's lap times that Ducati still aren't up to speed - although completely the reverse situation to San Marino with regard to set up given the lack of testing here and the loss of practise time.

Moto2 was awesome though!

Completely!

Sorry off subject - Pete, dunno if you're watching BSB on Eurosport, (race 2!!!!! - ....!!!- hope that's not construed as a spoiler), British sidecars are on right now and it sounds very much to me like the return of Barry Nutley in the commentary box!

Poor track design. There should be pavment first, to recover, then soft gravel all the way to the air fence.

No wait there was no air fence, WTF.

I thought the Euros knew how to build safe race tracks.

That was a classic AMA cow pasture design, not a Moto GP level track.

Go Johnney Rea.
