Well, while the racing has been good, we need a different winner. Race 1 was decent but how that .... Rea has become a proper rider I'll never know. The guy was such a waste of space for so long and now all of a sudden he's bizarrely composed. Consistently composed. I wonder what his career would look like had he grown up a few years ago. Clearly the talent is there.

Didn't expect to see a Ducati runaway. I have to give it to Rea. He's just a man transformed. Metronomic consistency .

Good talking to all you guys by the way.:p

You got your wish in race 2 :)

I've not been a fan of Rea's leairy style in the past, but I wonder if that's simply because he was always over-riding the CBR. Now he has a bike that is faster, maybe he has calmed himself down a bit.

Indeed. He's a completely different rider. He deserves this success. Watching him is interesting. He doesn't move much on the bike, and never seems to be struggling with the changing grip over the course of the race. He's absolutely smooth. A few years ago, that was not the case. I could very well be the nature of the CBR vs the Kawi.

He's winning like this because he's got an awesome bike under him, that CBR was cack.

I've always been a Rea detractor. That being said, while I have no doubt the Kawi is a far better machine than the CBR, Rea just looks composed, patient and thoughtful. He accepts 2nd if that's the bike he's riding. I think that's new for him.

Maybe that goes hand in hand with the quality of bike, he now knows he doesn't have to ride like a mad man to make up for an inferior machine. I've always liked the guy from his BSB days, thought he was impressive in the couple of races he did on the Repsol Honda too.

Now his talent comes to a head since he's not on an outdated racebike. Guess he's Kawi suits his style, sorry to see Sykes crash, looked like the bike hit him . Any word on his condition?
