Last season was Cal's second on a GP bike, it was Dovizioso's 12th. That Dovi was more capable isn't surprising, really.

First one is not fact at all. It is all based on assumptions. At the time there was no idea of the number dead, number of houses destroyed.
Second one, reporting what the government said it has done but no reporting on what is actually happening. Therefore simply repeating what the kool aid tastes like.
Third one, reporting on numbers and then reporting on what is "said" to be keeping prices muted. I would say this is just repeating what those serving the kool-aid want him to report.
Now, this sort of journalism makes up a small percentage of "news". It is all based on assumptions and the report is not really reporting on what they know as fact, they are reporting on what they are told. The rest of the "news" is even poorer.

Why would I be at all dismayed when your only recourse when you are challenged is to say you are right because you just are?.
As I said previously, I have been attending gatherings of the Sri Lankan community in Sydney, and once for that matter in Melbourne where the community is even larger, for the last 25 years, and I agree that the Sri Lankans of my acquaintance are among the most friendly and welcoming in disposition of any people you could meet, as you say from your broader experience. I also don't think there is any terrorism from the Tamils any more, there being few if any Tamils of a belligerent nature remaining. I am sure tourists are not in any way targeted by anyone either.
However, when I told my Sri Lankan best friend and business partner that I had been reliably informed about the true nature of things in Sri Lanka by a man who is always right, he continued to maintain that relatives, friends and acquaintances of his who are no longer extant, some of whom I had met, remained dead. If you really believe that one of the most notoriously corrupt third world governments in existence, of whom many questions are being asked internationally concerning the final stages of their civil war, allow their more questionable activities to be freely reported in the local press you are excessively naive.
I am guessing you are also going to tell me that you believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, and that the Murdoch press as one example are never driven by agendas, in Australia or elsewhere, and always behave completely ethically.
