Allthough I am a staunch supporter of modern scientific inquiry and its value, I wouldn't not say that things become facts because they are published in peer reviewed journals. Not just because the peer review process is not perfect, but because "truths" are never absolute or etnernal. All human knowledge is fallible and therefore uncertain (Popper).

Thank you. This was the exact response I played for. So even peer reviewed scientific journals can be fictional. So everyone, including Krop, should get off the high horse and stop claiming their fiction is more fact than the next bit of fiction.

I'm not really following the discussion you guys are having here, so I wouldn't know. But, what I was saying was not that epistemological limitations and shortcomings in the dissemination process imply that all types of inquiry are equally good and everything goes.
MA is picking and choosing the bits he wants to believe, and flinging some .... around at the same time. Can't really call that a 'discussion'.3514791368622366

Go for it!3514861368624310
I suppose i could make up stuff...which could be "plausible". I've done it actually.

Honestly, I think Motorcycle USA is a great publication, and it mystifies me why the allow that man to write about MotoGP. ...., Jum would do about a trillion times better job, and he has had his mind addled with too much mezcal. Actually, even SuperShinya whatever his name is would do a better job.

See my comments in the other thread. This dude is full of ..... It's an entertaining read alright, but it is almost entirely fictional.

You're so brave.3514891368624855
Well see above and you will see that it is yourself who flung the .... first. If you can't handle a bit of .... flung your way then best not fling it at others. At least I had the balls to call you out where you will actually read it.

I'd love to, but I have never seen him at a race. And I've been to quite a few.3514921368626218
May be a small thing but you can better it by telling Melling what you think of him to his face next time you see him.

Nice. I wasn't being derogatory to you by the way.

That it keep having a go rather than sucking it up and saying "yeah I was wrong".

EDIT: Almost as many as Jumkie, by now...

No, we as in i know Frank Melling and that article has no credibility. When he wrote about UK MX years ago he would get some snippets and write a story, i would phone the ..... and say that story is made up and he would say how do you know and i would say because i was there, he would say he was only trying his best, this is exactly how he used to work, a few snippets from another source and we have the truth, bloke is a complete prick, if you really want a laugh go read his books.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Where as you make every attempt to attend the GPs, my advantage over you is that I can watch the action on my iPad combined with my imagination & debate skills, and formulate "plausible" scenarios of riders that may or maynot return from retirement.
This bit had me rolling.

Dean Adams, no contest. I've seen him multiple times at races. US rounds at least. I have literally never seen Melling at any race, even Silverstone.3515061368644337
Who've you seen more frequently: this Melling character or Dean Adams?
