It sucks its on a delay.. and my dish actually cut out to where i couldn't watch the whole thing,.. but anyone else notice.. it's in HD! there's a plus for your thread Jumkie.. I was watching, thinking what the hell is different.. why does it.. oh wait.. it doesn't look like it was filmed in the 80s like every other motorcycle race on speed!!.. anyway.. just an observation

enjoy..

Yeah, I did notice it, and yes it did catch me by surprise. HD quality is good. I'm glad they finally managed to come out of the dark ages.

I didn't get to watch it all, I actually only checked to make sure my Tvo recorded it then went to sleep. (went drinking after the races yesterday and was very <strike>tired</strike> hammered.) After I watch it, I'll let you know what I think as I'm sure others will too.

Ok, just saw the 2nd edition of Pro Racing "PRIME TIME". They only showed Race 1 Superbike and Daytona Sportbike. So when are they showing the second races of the double header?

(BTW, again, no Kawasaki or Suzuki commercials, and the Honda ads were of their motocross bikes, I don't recall seeing a Yamaha commercial either. Also, just a note, but did you guys notice there were ads for the supercross seires, haha, where are all the ads for the roadracing market?)

I remember ads for the Road Atlanta race as well as a really cool commercial for the new R1, co-starring The Doctor.

And then there was the Progressive insurance commercial, in which the usually funny salesgirl smugly declares that she rides a 900 V-twin instead of some ..... 500.

You didn't see the R1 commercial?!

It looked like Yamaha actually made an effort to market a product.

BTW, did anybody hear Spencer reveal the reason for Buell's success? He said the Buell was revving higher at Fontana than it was at Daytona. Part of that could have to do with fuel or maybe Daytona raised the rev limit so they could make a little more grunt.

Eslick was very impressive and the Buell looked very poised and nimble; however, the speed advantage down the straight was laughable.

Hacking revealed he was at the pointy end b/c Kawasaki actually bought him some Ohlins fork internals. Apparently, Hacking was using stock suspension at Daytona.

Oh yeah, that's right. How could I forget that one. Haha, we actually commented on it since the color of the bike was a plane white. Thanks for the correction.
