Expect Lenny Hale in Daytona Sportbike to get into the top 10. Also, my buddies at Garage Endeavors will be sponsoring Cameron Beaubier & JD Beach in Supersport. And keep an eye out for our own Powerslide representative, Luke Luciano (Noodlerizer).

What is changing to bring these expectations. Has he gotten a little more sponsorship, found some performance, home track?

For a privateer, he is very impressive, he has to be down on performance to the big boys. What could he do on a Graves bike for instance?

I was out there yesterday, good stuff. never been to that track.. the big story seemed that john hopkins' replacement jake holden was doing really well when i was out there.. and bostrom snatching fastest lap at the last second from hayes..

been a while since i've been to the races, the front runners and the midpackers sound like they're on different planets man

I noticed he was out. I guess I missed something?

I saw where he finished 13th.

Great Race in DSB, its a shame the lapper got in the way. Really wasnt his fault, wrong place at the wrong time.

Is Elana Myers for real. I know Joey crashed but damn, a chick winning an AMA event against the guys. From what i understand, she was leading Pascharella when he went down.

After looking at qualifying times, Myers win seemed very unlikely. She qualified 8th, 4 seconds of the pace. .After reading a race report, there were extenuating circumstances to the unlikely win. Pretty much everyone in front of her crashed, she took the lead when Pascharella ran off the track and in his zeal to get back to the front, he really wadded it up, bringing out a red flag and the race was declared official after 10 of 18 laps.A win is a win and goes back to the old saying, "To finish first, one must first finish".

This thread is proof of the total lack of interest in AMA Pro racing.

Not really dude. Just lack of interest here on this site. Here is my excuse, after getting worked up for this weekend at Infineon, I'm too tired to revisit the weekend.

2nd DSB race was a bit of a disaster. Lenny blew the start, then got bottled up in hairpin on first lap and crashed. Pov, I never replied to your post, yes, this is his home track. I think the pressure got to him.

The racing was good in both classes. I've just got around to watch it on TV. I'm drained.

A few points:

Infineon looks ugly on TV. Hay bales, are you ....... kidding me? Though the track itself is cool and a work out physically, so they tell me. Nobody was gonna be Josh Hayes. This track did favor the Yamaha big bangs and Duc, but even then I was disappointed with Tommy H. The points are tight. In DSB, Cardenas almost took out Corey West, anybody still think he doesn't ride like an .....? I'm rooting for Danny Eslick. Poor Rapp, just a few corners from a win and bins it. I was hoping to see his girlfriend on podium behind him. It sucks that they don't televise supersport. Carmon won, and this was a bright spot for my buddies at Garage Endeavors. Noodlerizer, stay on it buddy.

pov i know when all the ama races are!
<
and always watch them.!

the racing has been really good this season so far especially dsb. the sbk races were a bit of a snooze with hayes way ahead of the rest & the zooks struglin. looks to me tho that hayes has got his mojo back & i think is gonna handly win the championship. dsb tho is wide open & is gonna go to the wire methinks. would be happy to see either eslick or herrin take it or any of the others save cardenas... don't like him that much. just wish honda & kawasaki would come back.
<
maybe in a couple of seasons when that bad taste of roger mud fades in their memories...

I did watch the SBK races, Hayes...damn the boy was on a flyer all weekend. Was really impressed with BBoz. Like Jumkie I was pissed with T. Hayden's weekend...WTF Young seemed alright?

Anyone hear or know anything about the electrical bike race that took place. I heard it was like 10-12 bikes all electrical.

I'm finally getting around to watching the weekend. I'm completely confused by the speed broadcast. My Tivo picked up 1 dsb and 1 superbike race. I find myself lacking interest in this series not because the racing is bad but because I'm totally uninspired by the riders. The superbike class is like an old timers league and DSB seems to have the same bunch of mediocre 600 riders year to year. There does not seem to be 1 person from either class that might be capable of becoming anything other than a lifetime AMA rider.

I'd agree with you in Superbike brotha, but DSB has Herrin, Eslick, & Aquino who are quite young and really haven't shown their full potential (BTW, am I the only one that wants to slap the grin off Aquino?). Race 2 of DSB was much more interesting and close with lots of drama. But I hear you, maybe our hope lies on the supersport boys like Cameron Beaubier & JD Beach?

Infineon is an awesome track. I agree with Jumkie, it looks terrible on TV but it looks to be an excellent track to race on. The elevation changes are pretty amazing. Races were decent.

SBK

Hayes - has this place dialed in. Congrats on the double.

Bostrom - great results, good to see him on the podium both races.

Pegram - two solid results.

Zemke - looked to be struggling with his bike, but maintained decent results to keep the points lead.

Hayden - Suzkuki wasn't working well here.

Young - the Rockstar Suzuki's looked a little more stable then Zemke's but the Yamaha was "the" bike for the track.

Hopkins - hurt again? Did he wrong someone in a past life and is experiencing bad karma?

DSB

Eslick - he's my pick for the title. He has shown he can compete just as well on equal machinery. Great attitude, shows true love for the sport and the competition, very humble in victory or defeat. He is aggressive and great to watch.

Herren - the kid is getting to be a smart racer, he realized consistency has kept him in the points for the championship.

Cardenas - win it or bin it attitude, but he makes way to many stupid mistakes. His crash in race two made him look like a rookie, he should have known better. The guy is hella fast but needs to screw his head on straight.

Aquino - he is the Smrz of DSB. Super fast on qualifying day, and fades fast on race day. Great kid, but he's just lacking something to keep him at the front.

Rapp - speaking of rookie mistakes, the guy had race 2 in the bag and blew it. Shame he didn't take race 2.

Lap traffic - the AMA needs to get this .... sorted out. Lap traffic continues to mess up the races and could one day cause some very bad accidents (almost did with DSB race 2 with Eslick having a near miss). BLUE FLAGS, use them and the guys circulating at the back need to start paying attention to them.

The points are tight. In DSB, Cardenas almost took out Corey West, anybody still think he doesn't ride like an .....? I'm rooting for Danny Eslick.

Eslick rides a bit careless as well.....making his race line 25 ft wide, running out and almost hitting a lapped rider hugging the outside line. That rider got out of the race line for that corner and exit and Eslcik still managed to come inches from slamming into him and to top it off, get pissed about it on the track and grabs the guy's leathers during the cool down lap. Eslick is a loose cannon out there also. I wonder what would have happened if he was actually racing someone for that position in that corner.....probably 2 guys would have gone down like Hayden and Pedrosa at Estoril in 2006

In race 2 he slammed into Herrin right after the start while scrambling around to trying to get to the turn 1 first from the second row. I think Eslick has gotten a bit cocky after his 2009 Buell championship.

Eslick rides a bit careless as well..... Eslick has gotten a bit cocky

Welcome Factory. Uhm, well you must see a different side of Eslick nobody has seen I guess, but I think dude is not cocky, rather humble, and very good spirited. Yeah that pass on the lapper was not the best executed on his part I agree. But as far as reckless, I'd give the nod to stupid ... Cardenas.

Anyway, did anybody else see this>> LINK
