I thought the AMA was going to get rid of the Superstock and or Formula Extreme classes this year.
According to this last weeks tire tests teams were testing bikes from all 4 classes.
Does anyone know what classes besides Superbike and Supersport they are running?

They are running all 4 this year and then only superbike and supersport in 2009 and beyond, guess my only chance now is to qualify for supersport.....

So I guess the Daytona 200 will be supersport in 2009.
That will be great since it will get more names and factories back into
that race at least.
Can't wait till supersport this year. That might be the best racing out
there.

No no no. Formula extreme will remain, but not superstock. 3 classes, and Daytona will still probably be FX. Although it should be Superbike... (if they could make tires to handle it)

Affirmative.

They don't like the Jordan Suzuki competing with the factory Suzuki, and since in superstock, the modifications are more restricted, then the parity is much closer. The AMA officials running the show don't like to see non factory bikes so close to the front.

There answer, make them run in superbike and eliminate that embarrassing superstock.

Again, superbike AKA Suzuki Cup will be as boring as watching grass grow.

Well something is cracking to change, have you read the news? WTF is going on?

So Fx will remain to hold the Daytona 200 then?

So we will continue to see 1 factory and a bunch of privateers
run this once historical race.
