I personally think that he has. He has the car underneath him, the best mechanics in the paddock, is the best driver there and has a lot of jammy luck. I can see him winning every race from now on.

He'll win the WDC but I can think of at least one race he won't win. The USGP simply for the fact that he's on Michelins and Schumacher and Ferrari own Indy.

I think Schumi's most advantageous track will be Monza, US and Canada are historically bad places for Alonso but that's due to DNFs, not lack of pace, so I think (and hope) Canada will be another win for Alonso.
US will depend a lot on the tires, I think Schumi will have advantage because Michelin will make sure their structure is strong enough, they wont take any risks.

But if Bridgestone do take risks Schumi could well be in the wall. (hopefully!)

First of all no need to joke about accidents, driver safety isn't even remotely humorous. Especially at a notoriously dangerous track such as Indy. Secondly, why take the risk if you are Bridgestone? They have historically been very successful there so they have the necessary data and they know Michelin will bring very conservative tires. They have the advantage and they know it so there is no reason for them to take any sort of risk at the US round.

Sorry but Schumi really DESERVES to end up in the wall once in a while and se how it feels to not finish a race because of a minor crash.

No one deserves to be put in a wall. Just because your opinion of his sportsmanship isn't a good one doesn't mean he 'deserves' to be put in a wall. Sure, he's done some bone headed things in the past but that doesn't translate to him needing to be put in a wall.

I didn't say to be put in a wall and die though.

Well that makes everything all better then...

I agree totally. You don`t joke about this sorta ..... Even minor crashes can be harmful. Schumi dosen`t have to die. What if he get`s left paralyzed in this fantasy crash? Or ends up losing a limb or two. You don`t joke about this sorta stuff. It just aint right. You never know when it might actually happen. Then you look like a right ........

Alex, you need to put it into perspective. For example, you`re a Rossi fan, right? I`m sure we all remember Jerez last year. A lot of Spaniards and Gibernau fans hated Rossi that day, and still do. A lot more than you hate Schumi, too. Is that a reason for him to get thrown into a wall at speed like Kato did? Of course not! Not the sorta thing to wish upon anyone, mate. Mechanical trouble, bad luck, finishing last, sure. But not crashing. It just aint right. I`m sorry for going on about it but it just made me really uncomfortable reading that and I can help thinking "What if somthing really horrible does happen?"

Schumi has done a LOT worse than Rossi and I never said for Schumi to be put in a wall and died or injured, I meant like what happened that once (cant remember track), where he took a wheel on the grass and hit the wall and retired (the same corner montoya did it at next lap). Sorry if you got the wrong impression but that is really not what I meant, please don't jump to conclusions.
P.S. There is no need for the language.

You said Schumaker deserves to be put in a wall. Sounds pretty brutal to me. I wasn`t jumping to any conclusions. And as for the language, you mean to tell me that if Schumi crashes and dies a horrible death in the US this year, you wouldn`t feel like a ....... after saying what you`ve said? I know I certainly would.

No I wouldn't because I said nothing about him dying or being hurt!

but it sounded like that was what was implyed ... either way you meant it, its not a very nice thing to wish upon a driver/rider or anyone.

erm... someone with power? i think this thread needs to be closed

I know you didn`t say anything about him getting hurt, and you probably didn`t mean to imply it either, but that`s how it looks. And that sorta stuff just scares some of us.

Alex thats some pretty crass comments and you are now treading a very fine line here mate.

Historically Schumacher has hit the wall at Montreal more than once fortunately it happens at the notorious last chicane before the start finish, Im sure Button did that last year???.

All sportsman whether they are on four wheels or 2 like em or not, you have to admire their bravery, they are there to entertain us, and yes things like Schumi cheating dosen't go down well with most of the public or indeed his competitors, but without these little dramas the sport would be even more dull.

Anyways Im pulling the plug on this topic.
