Dude deserves his own thread.

Alright he did not win, he could have had, but that's not the point.

That was a pristine ride. He's been fast, smooth, aggressive but not reckless, solid and not scared of mad dogs like Zarco, Cal and Miller. Not scared of the conditions either, while many top riders (not Marquez tho :D ) have been a bit cautious on the first few laps.

So here's to Alex, congrats on your first podium man!

He lit those tire up, it was fun to watch.

Yeah, congrats on his first podium,he seems like a good guy, maybe he lit them up a bit much though?,guess he will learn to save them for the end.

Out of the lead 4 i wanted miller to win and next choice was Rins. I've always rooted for him since moto3.

Side point: Vinales would have been much better off sticking with Suzuki. He'd have a chance for championship in the next few years if he stayed.

I'm not sure about Miller, he does well but then does something stupid. As for Vinales, yup he should have stayed as I can't understand why anyone would want to share a garage with Rossi.

I wanted Zarco or Alex to win. If Tito being 7th is not a fluke, it will be a really fun season.

Compared to last year he has been strong but he will not come close to a top ten finish in the championship

He's not a top 10 rider so that is all good IMHO.

But credit where is due, he put down a good ride on sunday.

I really hope so. The more capable-of-podium-finishes brands/riders we get the better.

And Rins is a cool kid, we need more of those too.

2018 has to be one of the best seasons in two decades because of how that dynamic has changed. Everybody on the same electronics was a game changer, and as much as I might be pilloried for saying so, one brand of tires has been a good thing, though it would be better if they were Bridgestones. If Dorna don't do something stupid like go to 800s and just keep things as they are, we will be looking at a golden age in Moto GP.

Also, I can't wait till Moto 2 stops being an all Honda field.

I agree with every single word you've written pal.

Kinda yeah, kinda no. I mean he'd sure be fast but tbh I never liked the guy too much.

I'd LOVE to see Zarco take that seat.

Well all they need is 3 bikes and they can have the 3 of them :) I like Vinales.

Is it?
I thought there were a few others in the mix like KTM, Suter, Kalex. :)

Yep, I like Rins. He had a rough first season even before it began after his big stack-in at Valencia testing in '16.
There were times in Moto2 when he as unstoppable.
Currently though Suzuki have their concessions back. Clearly they will loose them with Alex's current pace. I genuinely hope they can maintain position as and when full factory rules are imposed on them.
