a whine from stoner

XOXO
Ah, I changed my mind. Stoner is a whining little ......

Lucky for him Trick Daddy & Dovidiver dumped their bikes or he would have been 8th. Rossi would have even been higher in points had his tires not "shredded" in race 1.

Yeah ... even "the other Ducatis" beat Hayden and Dovi!!!

On the tyre shredding I was watching a bit of vid just before Dani overtook Rossi ...... and Dani's rear showed the exact same visual signs that Babel and Jazkat post to show Rossi's tyre shredding!! ..... I concluded that, since Dani not long after overtook him, Rossi's tyre was shredding in front of Dani and Dani's bike was picking up the discarded rubber..

I would have thought GP speeds rendered it pretty .... no loose articles ..... matter of fact I'm a bit surprised they didn't get a bit of stick from the scrutineers/officials over it.
This did occur to me too; they certainly flag you into the pits in F1 if you have loose bodywork after a prang, presumably because of the potential for what garry mentioned. I imagine they would in motogp if a bit of the fairing etc looked likely to detach.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Babelfish @ Apr 16 2008, 06:29 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Exactly, it's not in a wind tunnel and that flow and turbulence will change for every single mph change in speed, any wind, any change in direction. All this adding up to a very random turbulent flow, partly behind handlebars and windscreen, making any kind of stable frequncy at any order for any period of time less likely than me walking on the moon.
Right, so there's a large range of frequencies that will be excited. Clearly it's not going to sit there and build and build forever, but a few cycles at an appropriate frequency could easily enough give it a boost. Frankly, I'd be much more likely to look at the probable weight range of the thing and from that guess that any resonance would be most likely to come at a lower speed if it had any appreciable magnitude, and from that suggest that it's probably not a driving concern...but that has nothing to do with your "bbbut it's a funny box!" argument.
