As I know there are a fair few of you who are bulk consumers of tinfoil, I would like to float this past you.

Who do you think Dorna wants to see on the Yamaha seat alongside Rossi?

Do you think Dorna would interfere to put their preferred candidate on the bike?

Oh look, I've made a poll.

Krop, add an option that says 'Would DORNA allow Rossi to choose who will be on the second seat'

I reckon that option could well win.

:p

Tin foil? As in that stuff that is metal; but is so thin that it easily collapses? Ah, I get it, like say a fair few journalists (some of your colleagues) who are reluctant to ask the hard questions of Rossi? And say, when they do ask a decent question, they collapse when he evades the inquiry?

Who do you think Dorna wants to see on the Yamaha seat alongside Rossi?

Ask Rossi, he knows the right answer.

Again?

Carmelo formerly was reputedly annoyed about Pol being the prospective next Yamaha factory rider due to him being Spanish which could potentially have seen Spaniards on all 4 of the Honda and Yamaha factory rides, but with Jorge going and Rossi not only back on a Yamaha but in serious contention for a championship for a 2nd year and signed up for 2 further years I doubt he cares now, and don't see him exerting or being able to exert influence on Yamaha, who presumably are now seeking a new long term number 1 rider rather than having Jorge in that role for several more years.

Always thought it was a no-brainer for Yamaha to re-sign Rossi when they did for 2013, btw. I seriously doubt Pol for instance could have performed at anything like Rossi's current level.

Would Dorna force a rider on Yamaha against Rossi's wishes?

Better question: what if Rossi was entirely indifferent either way?

Rossi has everything organised, his influence is unprecedented and he leaves nothing to chance. Whichever rider arrives, he will fix it. The only threat he sees is Lorenzo and he is out of the way so plan B (2017) is intact.

Rossi might well have influence on who Yamaha choose , but I strongly doubt Dorna would or could force a rider on Yamaha in current circumstances.

Kropo, Rossi got what he wanted which was Lorenzo out of Yamaha.

He's going to be the number 1 rider one way or another, which is what he wanted from Yamaha 6 years ago.

Does Dorna have a preferred rider? I don't know. Frankly I think this is a setup question because you already know who is going to be on the second M1.

What if Lorenzo had a massive change of heart and Ducati agreed to release him? More of a hypothetical question as its ultra unlikely but id like to see folks thoughts on it...
Lin Jarvis said the door is always open for Jorge, but would it be this soon as Rossi has his open goal to title 10 if things carry on into 2017 as they are at Honda.

Like who, Casey Stoner? That would be sweet. Could you please plant the seed with Ezzy next motorhome meeting.

Screw you, Krop!

You wander in, toss off a few insults, then troll the forum for reactions to a subject you don't have the guts to discuss publicly. The very sort of reactions and opinions that, if posted on your PC-up-the-... site, would result in instant account termination. (Particularly if they dared to suggest that The Golden Boi himself has taken an active role the political ........ bubbling beneath the surface.)

It's clear that Ezzy / Dorna have interfered in the past. Rossi's return to Yam is proof enough for anyone with half a brain.
Would they do it again?
Sure.
Doh.

I personally believe Dorna wants whoever is going to draw the largest buzz and puts the most butts in the seat, whether live or on TV.

They would be just as happy with Marky Mark or the second bike or even Stoner or Jesus Christ. The amount of control Dorna has to who the next rider will be is small. They Just want whoever is going to be best for the over all bank account of GP and the owners.

I used my tinfoil hat to cook a bake potato last night. Sorry.
