Is there really not much more the companies running the tracks can do to make the starts better? And the corners wider, with somehow reducing the dirty parts?

If Bastianini can continue to qualify well, he'll be the dark horse that Bezzecchi never quite managed to become.

rain is predicted for tomorrow at 2pm

That would make for an awesome race 😊

I want more wet races with flag to flag dramas and people winning it on slicks despite having crashed before and remounted and that sort of thing. A race what you will remember 10yrs from now

my prediction for 2moz:

WET: MARQUEZ WINS
DRY: PECCO BINS (he is now due as martin took his turn)

At a dirty/crashy track a bunch of riders got the crashing out of the way in quali and went about their business in the actual race. Martin will pretty sure do the deed tomorrow. Sucks that Marquez quali'd so bad. With a 1st or 2nd row start he'd have used up less rubber and would have had real potential for the win itself. Much as I like him, not anticipating MM doing as well if the main event is dry.

Ride height - gotta go.

Most Australian's, the Queenslanders will have a hangover tomorrow after their winning of the AFL grand final today
Not Sydney? Geoff will be most disappointed.

BTW: I'm deffo going to be up at 8am UK time for the MotoGP feature race. I'm less sure about Moto2, and even less sure again about Moto3 :D

Given how quickly and easily MM93 got to near the front, I'm not sure that he used up that much rubber getting there. I think his problem is that the GP23 is about 0.3s slower than the GP24.

Each session is beginning to feel like another nail in the coffin for Pecco I am afraid,
As quickly as Martin puts the nails in, he comes back and pulls them out.

I would love it if Enea or Marc stole the championship from under the noses of Pecco and Jorge in the last few rounds!
Is it stealing when they keep giving away points in buckets?

Martin does not appear to have the mental discipline to bring home the championship. Perhaps he should play chess in his spare time? Then again, T-16 has been a dream-crusher all weekend. Then again...again...it's the 1st lap and can you learn from your previous mistakes? Pecco did what Pecco does when he's not crashing. He went about his business, flying a little under the radar making it to Q2 and winning the race. There is something to be said for that.

I must admit, once Bez ran off and Marc was directly behind Pecco, I was waiting for Marc to crash as he did earlier following the GP24. Once Enea got him, he realized 3rd was it. Frankie fast on Friday and Saturday morning but couldn't do it when it counted. WTF?? Ride height device failure or not, another lackluster showing from factory KTM and Brad Binder. Maybe he'd perform better if KTM extended his contract for another 6 years?
Zarco with a good weekend, all things considered and great to see Fabio Q improving. C'mon Yamaha!

Actually . . . I agree. My other thought was, if he started the race inches away from Pecco's rear tire, Pecco would have felt pressured to run a much less conservative pace resulting in another "bad tire" incident. Seriously tho, a lot of the crashing IMHO - is because this is not a track that gets as much use as the Euro tracks and like the one in India, is not so well maintained. This or so I imagine is in part due to the surrounding landscape (also like India) which is mostly bare, without grass or much greenery to hold down the topsoil that constantly blows across the track surface.

BTW - did anyone notice at the beginning of Quali 2 on the grid - there was this little Indonesian chick in a hijab flailing away, doing all those Brittany Spears dance moves?

I didn't see it on the version on MotoGP.com, so this seems to be another bonus for the Australians who can see the coverage live.

For the rest of us, here is a like and similar replacement.
