2016 SUPERCROSS SEASON

Excellent pics bro.

Looks like you got there early. Did the stadium fill up? It looked like a decent crowd from TV.

Yeah, I hosted a tail gate party before so I was there all day. It was a very good crowd, as is every year, the stadium holds 100K + people for football I would guess they probably had 65K-70K people.

Dungey is unstoppable.

Mdub, post pics.

Instead of charging my phone after practice I went to the casino and the weed cafe. Yea they have those in Detroit. I'll post a few later. The whoops were absolutely brutal. They were breaking off riders left and right. I don't remember the last time I watched 450's jump through them as the fast line.

Malcom Stewart made it through those woops so fast one time, it must have been a mistake, didnt see him replicate it again the whole race, but that one time, i bet he made up 2 seconds in just the woops.

around the 35 second mark

Even in practice he was the only one getting through them like that. He was faster than the 450's by far. He would jump four on the gas and blast out the flat on the gas into the next section of them. Everyone else was cutting throttle and trying to time it come up way shorter than him. It was breaking everyone off in practice.

Reminds me of the younger Bubba. I don't think anybody every has destroyed woops more than James. I have a memory of him wheeling through the woops like he was unphased. Thrilling. I miss the old Bubba.

He was exciting to watch, but, his win it or bin it style caught up with him. way to many bins.

Have there been any faster riders in MX/SX than RC & JS? I don't think so. I think these two have been by far the fastest ever riders. The .... they did in Motocross outdoors was insane.

"JAMES STEWART AND RICKY CARMICHAEL'S GREATEST BATTLES"

SX Indy: by far the best race we've seen this season. Yo, Dungey haters, I'm talking to you, ya'll just have to accept he is simply better than everybody!

What a race, what a season, what a rider!

7 wins, 45 points clear. Good Lord!

I would say he's better then nobody, because he's racing nobody.

I dont know how many hollow titles this guy has now but I would venture he's going to end up with more then RC. I find this interesting because he'll have a shitload of titles but historically will never be regarded as a top 5 and maybe 10 rider

JK....wow as much as I want to agree with you, don't know that I can, and you know I'm a huge Villopoto fan like you and yes the titles he won when Villopoto was injured could be seen as gifted. But you don't win by just showing up, you have to make it thru a whole season and that's an accomplishment in itself these days with the pace these guys are riding.
The Dungey we are seeing now is being trained by Aldon Baker, and I see a certian ruthlessness to Dungey's riding now, that little bit of aggressiveness missing when he was competing against Villopoto and Stewart in his prime. The only measure I have to back my theory is Roczen; he's showing some serious pace these last few rounds. Dungey is measuring the threat and responding without mistakes. This tells me Dungey has it in reserve.
Dungey's bike is obviously sorted, Roczen's maybe not so much and that could be the factor??
Just glad Roczen has been up there the last couple of weeks, has made racing more intersting.

Outdoor series starts soon, lets see if Dungey can continue to hold off Roczen and Tomac? Can't wait.

Dungey has enough points that he could go into cruise mode. But he didn't, he battled with Roczen. He battled with his own teammate. Isn't that what we all want? A guy putting his championship on the line for merely a win? What happens if Dungey goes down and gets hurt trying to beat Roczen?

Well, looks like Dungey did it again last week. Nobody can keep up. Roczen tried, then crashed trying.

How funny was Malcolm Crashlow Comedy of crashes.
