I'd put Locatelli in my top 3, if on last years Aprillia he did so well this year, I can't see him doing any less than top 5 on a factory Aprillia.

125 cc

Talmacsi
Faubel
Koyama

250cc

Lorenzo
Aoyama
De angelis

The 250cc field has been getting stronger and stronger for a wile now and next year is going to be epic. It is nearly impossible to predict but i am gonna continue to believe that lorenzo is the man.

As for the 125's, Talmasci is gonna show everybody just how good he is, and make both KTM ad honda feel very silly indeed for letting him go. Having said that, the advantage of being in a clearly supperior team will help him on his way.

1. faubel 2. talmacsi 3. gedea 1. lorenzo 2. dovizioso 3. locatelli or aoyama

Bautista this year has done the best 125cc season ever, last year he was crap. With that kind of consistency and being a rookie I'm not putting my money on him, that said I'm gonna cheer for him a lot!!!

I think one of the guys that already have 250cc experience will win it, and the KTM has been flying in the last tests so that works out one name, Hiroshi Aoyama.

Anyway keep an eye on another name, Julián Simón he is just moved to 250cc from 125cc.

The 125cc I was doubting between Talmacsi and Faubel but Gabor was fastest in his first test with the bike, I rather have Faubel winning but as I said before I wrote those predictions with my head, not with my heart.

Anyway in case you wanna know my heart-driven predictions.

125cc
Faubel
Gadea
Olivé

250cc
Barberá
Bautista
Debón

MotoGP
Crivillé (Surprise comeback !!!)

Pedrosa dosen't get a mention, Teo?

Sorry for getting all critical on ya, bud. Did you just forget about Dani? Or did hell freeze over?
<

I can only write 3 names Richo, so someone had to be left out. But don't worry, I don't need to put Dani in that list cause he's gonna win the real thing anyways.

125

1.Smith (I CAN HOPE!)
<

2. Faubel
3. Gadea

250

1.Dovisiozo (sp?)
2. Lorenzo
3. Bautista

Teo...how long was Bautista in 125 before he won it?

His first full season was 2003, (he appeared as wild card in a couple of races in 2002), he did OK for a rookie, scoring 31 pts.
Next year he progressed significantly scoring over a hundred points and 4 podiums.
In 2004 he switched to Honda and strugled like a pig (47 points).
And this year he went back to Aprilia and everyone knows the rest of the story.

It sounds almost like Pedrosa's 125 season...here's to him doing well in 250's!

I hope Bradley Smith follows the same way as Pedrosa, I really do.

i dont really know about 125. is pacini still there or has he gone up?

250 will be bautista im about 90% sure of that. i hope he wipes the floor with sodding lorenzo.

i think bradley will do alright this year too he had a couple of good scores.

Do you really think that Bautista will win the title as a rookie. He will be beaten by many riders and i would be surprised if he is even a serious title contender.

125's i assume will be dominated by Talmasci

250's is a different story .... theres quite a few strong contenders .... dovi, lorenzo, locatelli and aoyama i say will all win a race

yeah i really do. he's really done well last season and i think he can do it. if not the title then in the top 3

I read that Talmasci will be racing the 2006 factory bike but his spanish teamates will be riding the 07 bike that bautista had at the end of last year. Regardless, it does look like Gabor will be the man to beat. People will be faster, but he will be consistent and has experience.

As for the 250's, i am not sure what honda are gonna bring, so i can't place their riders to easily.

I do think however that the top 4 spots will be the same riders:
Lorenzo, De angelis, Aoyama and Dovi. The next best guys out there will be Locatelli and Babera (he will be very very fast).

It is unrealistic to think the rookies will be championship contenders very soon. I mean yes Pedrosa managed it, but that was special. And the class is way more competative now than it was now. Lorenzo is easily the fastest guy out their but he needs to keep his head together. Dovi needs to find extra speed and de angelis just needs to stay on.

Its going to be incredible.

125

1. Talmasci
2. Pesak
3. Espagaro

My knowledge of the 125 class isn't very good but at the Catalunya test the top ten where all covered by a second so I can imagine it being very close. I just know that I'm going to have to wake up earlier on a Sunday morning to catch the 125 racing, not just because its going to be thrilling but to cheer on Bradley Smith, Daniel Webb and to be honest I'm quite interested in what the young American, Steve Bonsey can do as he's being mentored by one of the greats, Kenny Roberts. I predict Rooke of the Year for Steve Bonsey.

250

1. Lorenzo
2. Aoyama
3. Luthi

I can't really see there being any competition for Lorenzo, watching him at Assen was incredible. I was amazed at the lead he gained just from the first corner, he definately won me over with his riding style its a perfect balance of smooth riding and aggression. I do however believe that this year will be tougher for him with Aoyama being quicker, I think he made the right decision by staying in the 250 class this year. I chose Luthi because I really rate him as a rider and reckon with competitive equipment unlike last year he can really ride, plus I believe he has Rossi's old crew chief from when he raced 250's which can't be bad.

I rate Luthi very highly too, i think he is better than Kallio for example, but of other 125 guys comming up, is he better than Bautista, it'll be tough for rookie of the year won't it.
