Shocking, It's close to becoming the Kalex world championship.

Suter has scrapped plans for a rejuvenated Moto2 campaign and will instead quit the class completely.

After a sparse 2015 entry Suter - which won the Moto2 constructors' title in 2010, 2011 and 2012, plus the riders' championship with Marc Marquez in 2012 - had intended to make a 'strong comeback' with an updated MMX2 chassis (pictured).

However only three rookies - Efren Vazquez (Ioda), Federico Fuligni (AGP) and Remy Gardner (AGP) - were listed as using the Swiss design on last month's provisional 2016 entry list.

Suter has now declared it is to withdraw from the world championship, having failed to attract any 'winning riders' to showcase its machinery.

“With immediate effect, Suter Racing ends its involvement in the Moto2 GP class and will not apply for next year's MotoGP constructor's license,” read a statement from Suter.

“As no teams with winning riders are available to show the huge potential of our fully developed 2016 machine, Suter ends its commitment for now, having won 3 constructors titles and in 2012 also the riders championship with Marc Marquez.

“At the moment, our racing department is fully committed to engineering mandates for bigger motorcycle manufacturers in the Moto3 and MotoGP class. But of course we will develop and produce also in future our own brand of racing motorcycles. The planning for a new motorsport program is already well underway.”

Suter's exit leaves only Speed Up and Tech 3 as alternatives to the dominant Kalex chassis, which already filled 26 of the 34 places on next year's grid.

Would that be so bad to have an all Kalex championship? If they were all on the same frame, running the same engine, and using the same tires, we could get rid of the excuses for why a rider won or lost. We could just look at the riders' skill.

I kind of like that idea.

I'm with ducati on this. Moto2/3 should be feeder series. and feeder series are best when they're spec series IMO.

When Kalex demand absurd amounts of cash just find a new supplier. problem solved.
or homologate and freeze the chassis. different approaches with the same effect
