Why are riders like sofogulu and checa still on the damn 2007 spec bike. .... I know that american honda riders have tested the 2008 and why the hell are the WSBK riders not riding the new bike which will have a totally different feel and do not understand what the riders are getting from riding...
I hope I'm not in the minority here in the forum when I say I don't dislike any of the riders, but I prefer some more than others, but I'm sure some will have a rider they don't like.
I'm guessing Pedrosa is disliked by some American members, for obvious reasons?
If you had the choice of taking any rider to any class/team, who would it be?
As you see a different perspective than the commentators and the mechanics in MotoGP, you see the riders differently because you don't know them. So, if you based it upon true talent, what bike do you think they would...
anyone know who the wild card riders at phillip island is going to be???
i would like to see jamie stauffer
he did a great job in the AMA superstock races finishing 5th and 2nd in his two races there
I was just looking at some Gp stats and it was amazing the lack of success that Japanese riders have had in Gp cosidering the overwhelming success the Japanes Manufacturers have had.Since going to the 500cc bike till now,the Japanese bikes have won 66% of the races ran,yet not 1 Japanese rider...
As everyone knows, bike racing is danagerous and crashes happen.....some are racing incidents and some are plain recklessness.
So - should riders be penalised for reckless riding, what I'd call reckless:
RDP taking out Dani today
ToniElais torpedoing antics at various races (though he seemed...
Very interesting quote. I wonder if he's referring to the Konica-Team Scott merger. Perhaps Nakano and Dovi will be team mates? Or maybe this confirms that Tech-3 will be running Michelins? I love the intrigue.

Who do you think should not be in MotoGP?

Anthony West (250 Reject)
Alex Hoffman (Who?)
Chris Vermuelen (Only great in wet, dunno)
Kurtis Roberts (I know his surname well)
Loris Capirossi (finished)
Makoto Tamada (finished)

anyone know what each of the Motogp riders are doing in the summer break?
I know Stoner is in australia, just doing endurance work and media stuff.
What are rossi, hayden and pedrosa doing? Testing? or taking a break?
Taking into consideration all classes of motorcycle racing in the world, who would be your top 10 current riders. Perhaps if you considered a race of all riders on absolutely equal machinery who would fill the top 10 places?
Here are mine?
1. Rossi
2. Bayliss
3. Melandri
4. Stoner
5. Tosland...

On a given raceday and track, what factors influence riders performance and how much does each factor contribute.
An impossible question but still, can we find any common factors that contribute to the result?
Both this year and last year has been kind of strange. What made Stoner going from...
I can tell already this might become an explosive thread.
My picks are:
Barros...he was booted last season, he did naff all in WSBK, why is he back?
Tamada...two wins a very long time ago, is being outpaced by his rookie teammate who some say is only there for the dosh he brings...

I know that a large deal of the riders who came over from WSBK have failed at being competitive in GP (every one I think ), but I can't help noticing a little bias towards 250 guys here.
Colin Edwards is a two time champion in WSBK, it's never mentioned, but it is one of THE hardest series...
Okay so we know that Casey Stoner has just got married to his-term girlfriend Adriana, so why not add other Moto GP riders (past and present) and see how well they're doing with the WAGS.
If you reply with a rider (past or present remember - but only past if they are well known...like Agostini...

Having been a Fan of the 500cc Days, and Motogp Days of today, i often
wonder how the Riders of old would have gone against todays young Guns.. Example to see
Doohan take on Rossi, or Rainey to take on Melandri. i often ponder this.
Mabee to much time on my hands guys.. my...
Under-Rated Riders:
1. Chris Vermuelen - SBK World Champion and probably the most under-rated rider in Moto GP. Poor lad barely get's any attention and he proved he's a good rider at USA. Pole + led for 2/3 of the race!
2. Dani Pedrosa - 19 years old, put Rossi and others on the spot many a...
Was listening to the guys on eurosport talking about satellite tracking on the bikes now, and in theory, they teams have the ability (but its not permitted) to change the bikes engine mapping etc depending on which section of the track they are on.
Whats everyones thoughts on this?
I've...
