I haven't followed WSBK at all this year. I am very surprised to see the lack of results from Melandri. After his stellar seasons as a title contender, I thought he would be the title favorite and dominate on the RSV4Factory.
What happened? Injuries? The bike?

I heard over the weekend that Ducati found out that Melandri tested the Kawasaki in Japan after Laguna and were none to pleased. They were going to release him until they found out.
