Spies podiums do to the fact that pedders has one of his world famous front end tucks. And stoner falls asleep after gaining a 25 sec lead by lap 9 and crashes.

It only matters where he finishes when he gets the flag. Not even the most
enthusiastic fanboy expects him to break away and hold 6th position right
from turn one. I expect all the usual mid-packers will be really putting in
110% in order to be not bettered by Spies. And Spies knows that. Also -
given the recent antics by Kallio and DeAngelis on the starting grid - I
anticipate Spies being extra careful not to be scudded by anyone on the first
lap of his first official appearance for Yamaha in a MotoGP race.

I just recall his wild card rides, he really took his time getting up to speed. Although he does have more riding on this appearance so he may be out to prove something as well. Spies proving something vs the others trying to prove something, i'll pick Spies. If he podiums...oh man.
