OMG!

YES!!!! I'll be going there this year for sure!

Proves how big a following SuperBike has compared to gp over here, King Carl(......) made it popular with us Brits again.

well i live in surrey and study in leeds, so its 50-50. But i think brands is the best circuit in the country, perhaps even one of the worlds greatest.

So true about Brand, but the gp has to be easily accessible for all inhabitants. I live in North Wales, could you imagine the trip down there? When Donnie is smack bang right in the middle of the country (minus Jocks).

Is Brands safe enough for GP?

No its not, it'd need more run off, not to mention the tiny infield paddock area, and the road access is quite poor also. Donnington is near an airport and still gets jammed right up every year. I dont honestly believe brands is an option, just something i'd like to see.

I think i would even consider paying the outrageous ticket prices to see F1 at brands, that really would be special.

Brands is an awesome track - I live in the North East so the trip to Brands is a long one but it's worth all 7 hours

i was there for the opening round of BSB last year (my first visit) and it blew me away so i'll defo be there this year too.

we've got some great tracks in the UK - Cadwell, Donnington, Brands and the list goes on

like he said - We are soooo lucky

we get a pretty sweet deal considering how small our country is in the greater scheme of things. And to match our brilliant tracks we have the most competative and proffesional superbike series in the world. I love it

I think he means how you guys dont get world superbikes at laguna seca anymore.

I have read on another site the WSBK might make a comeback to the US as early as 2008 at Barber Motorsports Park. Not sure how true it is, but it would be very nice.

It would be nice, i always looked foreward to the US round of the world superbikes. But that was partly because of the wildcard factor. Do any AMA guys ride Pirelli's. This control tyre rule is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO crap, it has runied world superbikes.

Made the racing much closer though.

I could easily get into a debate about control tyres, it's happening in F1, which sucks, but it has made WSBK MUCH more fun to watch.

yes the racing obviously got closer, but i feel like most of the spectacle has gone, the bikes are going slower, and wildcards can't enter. all very much reducing the superbike experience for me.

I think maybe better things could have been done with the tire regulations. but never mind. Do you know if it'll be open to competition in the near-ish future?

I think the control tyres was a great idea, I mean, sure they're slower, but look how fast F1 cars go. Speed dosen't equal excitement. And whe you've got MotoGP to see bikes breaking the sound barrier, I don't think the Supers need to try and do it too. It makes the racing closer, and for me, that's what SBK is all about. Probably could have struck a deal with someone better than Pirelli though.
