Yamahas woes

My brother's neighbour is a huge Rossi fan, he's aiming to get a motorcycle driving license and plans to get a R1 in 2 years (here you're restricted to a 125cc bike for the first 2 years). Not the brightest fella if you ask me

My point exactly.

Hope he has a life insurance policy!

Just remind him if it's a 2015 model not to go full throttle with it otherwise oil ends up getting chucked into the airbox.

Viñales not happy ATM

https://www.motorsport.com/motogp/news/vinales-ask-yamaha-about-qualifying-disaster-977217/

Maverick Vinales has expressed his frustration after only qualifying 13th for the MotoGP season finale at Valencia, and says Yamaha has to give an explanation for his lack of competitiveness.

Vinales was forced to go into Q1 due to being only 13th quickest after FP3, but was only third-fastest in the opening segment, meaning for the second time in four races he was knocked out.

His 1m31.010s effort was more than a second slower than the time with which he topped last year's post-season test on his debut with Yamaha.

Vinales said it is "impossible" to fix the bike's problems, which are mainly related to braking, and said "he has no explanation" for the issues.

"If you can ask Yamaha, it's better. I have no explanation," he said. "We are in the wrong place, we have the wrong setup and the more we do, the bike is doing the same.

"The problem comes from the brakes, the brakes are so difficult to stop and then as soon as I lean a little bit I go straight. I don't turn in the corner, I go straight, so this is the biggest issue.

"I had this problem in many many races but this is the narrowest track, the track you need to stop more the bike, so the problem increased.

"When something is not working, if you ride out, if the bike doesn't work, it doesn't work.

Rossi “developed”a race winning Ducati into a [emoji240] dog. It’s amazing and head scratching that Vinalez went from a potential champion earlier this year into a mid packer at the end of the season.

If I was Viñalez, I'd be begging to switch seats with either Cal or Iannone. Those are the only two people, who would be willing to work with the ...... bag on the other side of the garage. I knew he was ...... when he decided to go to yamaka. One weak ... company with weak ... leadership. Which other brand would have bend over without KY for so call marketing that will have zero effect on their long term development?? If #46 ...... bag really thinks hes gonna win another championship. He's more delusional than uccio getting laid by any kind of female. Bottom line is this, Aprilia, Ducati & KTM will win a championship before #46 see's another.

Lorenzo worked with the "douch bag" on the other side of the garage for 7 years and won 3 MotoGP titles in the process. If Yamaha really are so subservient to Rossi, how come they hire riders like Vinales? Or Lorenzo?
Oh yes to f*ck them, right.

They hire great young talent as Rossi’s replacement but he just won’t go away. Once the series got some legitimate completion , Yamaha knew they had to have 2 capable riders instead of Rossi and and a personal foot stool. Everybody disses Pedrosa and says he doesn’t deserve the Repsol seat, yet he has been way more productive than Rossi the last 8 years.

How many times did Pedrosa finish runner up in the past 8 years?
It's funny to see the anti Rossi bandwagon wishing he would go away so that they could feel better. 80% of the grid, who are several years his junior, WISHES they could ride like 38 year old Rossi right now, let alone when they reach 38 themselves.

No one doubts he is remarkably good for a rising 39 year old.

What is the point of it all though?. He has enough titles, had enough titles 8 years ago, and barring very unlikely circumstances or active contrivance is not winning any more. He is competing against 25 year olds, one of whom is very likely as good as he was was when he himself was 25.

Time to move on and cease holding the sport to ransom.

You defend Stoner for calling it quits early, but want to criticize Rossi for competing longer than you think he should?

once doesn't make him better than Rossi.
And if he was good at being anything more than a wingman, HRC would have catered mainly to him, like they did with the pocket bike RC212V.
