Now I've finally learned why Rossi is the best road motorcycle racer of all time. He gets paid the most.

Oh yeah, WSBK riders suck.

IMO, Biaggi performed very well in WSBK in 2007 where he finished third with 17 podiums from 25 races which is quite a remarkable strike rate for podiums. Certainly however 2008 is not going as well but I suspect that the injury he received at PI has heavily hampered his 2008 performance (although 19 podiums from 31 races is still a very strong hit rate).

But the overall meaning of the series of posts I agree with, and that is that WSBK is not a second tier competition but a valid top rung competition in it's own right and should receive the due credit.

You cannot compare MotoGP with WSBK. WSBK is in its own league and motogp now is nothing of 250 upgrading works. The WSBK bike is heavier than MotoGp atleast by 40 to 60kg. It has more torque due to bigger CC and I believe power is about the same--220-230bhp. Unlike the big V5 990 motogp Honda which has somewhere 280bhp.

I bet the like of stoner, lorenzo, and pedrobot can't fight with WSBK guys if they are riding in the WSBK!!

Wait, I'm sorry, you're right. 5'6 130 lbs is normal sized..................if you have two X chromosomes.

What is 'normal' sized by your definition then?

Well, in my world I can't be bothered to notice any man under 6'.

But my world is somewhat skewed. According to statistics the average male is between 5'8" and 5'10" and around 175lbs (80kg).

Agree. I was making the point that Biaggi, being one of the front-runners in MotoGP has faired well enough in WSBK to show that the level of competition are comparable but different and similarly high level. Good post Gary.

I think Dion's point was that Xaus, being a bit of a unique rider who pushes (beyond the limit sometimes) may be comparable to Stoner. Being that both were crashers (fact); perhaps the Ducati might suit Xaus was the point I understood. Dion did say Xaus might take the Ducati to victory, as in race wins, I don't think he meant WC (not sure, I'd let him clear that up) as far I read into his post, it seemed he was making a case for the unique rider suited to a unique machine. Its not a dig at Stoner, as it seems you have managed to think it was.
