Out of Nowhere
Great to see Chaz where he deserves to be after some real flaky rides over the years. Emphatic win - making the break early and controlling his lead capitalising on the superior top end of that Yam. That Parkin Go Yamaha team have done a great job with those bikes in the absence of quality pre-season testing. Great victory over his teammate to jointly lead the championship. Scassa will be a difficult man for Chaz to beat over the course of this season.

Weird crash out of Ascari for Gino - could quite possibly have been the bike given the problems he was having earlier in the race. Damn unlucky for Ellison to be taken out last lap the parabolica in an incident that quite clearly wasn't his fault.

Quite nice to see Foret back up on the block.

Only just noticed this thread.

Great to see Chaz win again, even if the race wasn't the thriller I had anticipated/hoped for.

The Rea crash was weird, he does look like he is overriding the machine most of the time, at Assen he was sideways on the straights! Stoner circa 2006 anyone?

I have to say, I'm disappointed with Kawasaki, after Philip Island I thought they may be able to challenge all season. However I should have perhaps known better than to get my hopes up about the green bikes - in both classes of wsbk.

Am I correct in understanding that the Parkin GP team is running the same bikes Crutchlow rode in 2009? If so, impressive. And I think the talent from Davies has been there for all to see for quite some time, it's nice to see things finally go his way for a change. He's still just 24, I'm very eager to see if he can keep this up and where it will take him.

Really rated Chaz as a championship contender after last season on the Triumph. It's really on now between Davies and Scassa, Scassa at that looked similar to Davies after his second place at Donington.

Really good showing by Tamburini too, he had some really bad luck at the beginning of the season. Hope this brings him to the level of some of his impressive wildcards from last year.

Chaz is the real deal. I'm a bit disappointed in the way his career has played out since 2009 b/c he was a top prospect in the AMA. Someone in WSBK needs to take a chance on him. If he has the right equipment, he will be a multiple WSBK champion.

GO CHAZ!!! even if it's 'only' world supersport, its great to see another British rider coming of age on the world scene, especially one with an underlying talent that has been unrewarded for so long. I can't see the title going to anyone other than the two Yamaha's so i really hope Chaz gets it done.

Yes i think it is those very bikes, but Honda haven't had a new CBR model out so without real factory support it isn't surprising that the Yamahas hasn't really been left behind, from their perspective too they have inherited a seasons worth of title winning data. Good on them
