This weekend WSBK championship is at Misano on Italy's Adriatic Riviera Coast for round 8.

Last year Superpole was no other than T. Corser on Yamaha and Bayliss (Xeroc Ducati) won both race 1 and 2. T.Bayliss had a good record here and out of 10 races, nine podium finishes and won 6 times.

2006 -Race 1 winner T.Bayliss (Ducati)
Race 2 -A.Pitt (Yamaha)

2005-Both Race 1 and 2-Laconi (Ducati)

This year pick: Superpole-T.Bayliss
R1-T.Bayliss
R2-Max N

Troy Corser is on Superpole followed by BaYLISS...eXPECT A GOOD battle

what a cracking race that was!!
Bayliss still made a great job of it, and as for Neukirchner!!!......the dark horse still continued to impress!
<

well pleased with Lavilla's 8th place too!
<

i hope we get a good ole Bayliss/Corser battle in race 2!

What a treat bike fans in the UK have today - none stop bikes from early morn till 6pm!!

Nice first race, Max had alot of pace - good close racing action (motoGP take note)

Max slings it in front of a spectating Rossi again.

Great ride by Haga and Xaus in race 2.

Usual dodgy Misano grip...a weekend dominated by low sides.

i fell asleep at about lap 10 in race 2. . . . . . .woke up then it was time for British Supersport. . . . . bugger!

so ill have to go check out the website now

There was some great racing today, from both SBK and BSB.
I feel a little bit guilty, that I look forward to these races more than motogp lately.

Not the best of weekends for Nori but you can't win them all.

WSBK again this weekend again proved that it is one of the most entertaining championships in motorsport, its just a shame both Troys ran wide at the second last corner with a handful of laps to go as it looked like it was going to be an incredible showdown between them two, Xaus and Biaggi. I'm very pleased for Xaus though claiming his first win since Valencia last year (I think) and showing that both him and Max are still capable of special things.

What a great weekend was. We had BSB (S.Burn, J.Elisson) and SBK- Great battle btw Bayliss, Max N and Biaggi, and Ruben. What a cracking raceand entertainment !! Can wait for round 9..

Unfortunately Saturday Dutch TT motoGP was a Stoner run away.

and Melandry dead last

max.n seems to be turning into the real deal this season. i am more impressed by him every time he races. IMO he has a better chance of hunting down bayliss than checa does, due to the better track knowledge he has, coupled with the fact that he seems to be having one of "those" seasons.

makes for an interesting 2nd half of the season...

He hardly slung it, he got taken down.

^And he got a podium in race 2...

Not the best weekend for Checa, hopefully he'll get his challenge back running next time out. Luckily Bayliss didn't stretch too far in front, and he's only 3 points behind Max.N

I don't undertand why we don't get more members here on the WSBK post race threads. The racing is world class, exciting, and entertianing. WTF?

Great reaces, 1 & 2. Neucher is my favorite of the series. But think about the top ten riders in any given race, wow, what a grid!

no top US or UK contender has hurt the interest levels somewhat. if we could get another bostrom or toseland into the series, then more interest would be shown.
wonder how Chas Davies would do? and he would bridge the UK/US rider quite well.

Probably some members do not know WSBK is part of MotoGp forum..

I think it'll be a mixture of people not knowing the forum is here, and people not caring because they aren't bothered about superbike racing.

Well, now thats racing. If you could have picked the 2 race winners in SBK you were lucky. Great performance from chaus and Max n. I have a strange feeling MotoGP won't be nearly as close
<

WTF is Parkes doing? Pole, .... result, rinse and repeat. Yamaha must be tiring of this ..... I'd dump both guys, start fresh.

Superstock race was great, Polita is ....... nuts

Did anyone see Hudson Kennaughs ride in the wet at Mallory in the supersport race?...this guy's going far.

Fantastic racing from WSBK. I'm starting to think we were robbed by Checa of any fun at Miller (his two run away victories), as most of the races this year have been close down to the end.

Fantastic job by Max N, Xaus, and Corser. Bayliss also looking solid, but a few mistakes messed up his chances at victory again this time. Also great to see Biaggi up there finally. That crash at PI early in the season must have really shook him up bad, as he seems to just now finally be getting back to some good finishes.

Looking forward to more WSBK this year, Brno next week should be excellent as seems to be a track that provides great racing. Thank god WSBK has been great fun, I love Moto GP, but it has turned into nappy time after lap 4.
