What's next for Valentino Rossi's VR46 MotoGP team?

With RNF moving to Aprilia as their satellite team for 2023, could that mean that Yamaha are waiting on VR46 for 2024?

Yes, they are. And I reckon Bezzecchi will replace Martin or Zarco at Pramac with Morbidelli dropping down to the VR46 Yamaha in 2024. Toprak or Martin to replace him at Monster Yamaha.

If Yamaha does not drastically improve, why would he want to give up a superior bike?

Simply, no.

Yamaha had said for years that as soon as VR46 wanted a satellite team then 2 Yamahas are theirs. This is why Tech3 decided to move to KTM in 2019. Then Rossi screwed Yamaha over by going with Ducatis.

Yamaha are in a lot of trouble with only 2 bikes (and only 1 competitive rider) in the field.
