Who's getting axe'd from the Motogp grid for 07?

teomolca

He has the same bike/tires Checa has, and he is nowhere near him.

out next season. edwards out of yamaha to 2nd bike in team roberts. cardosa gone. tamada gone. ellison gone. elias? hmmmm.... spanish & sponsor friendly, should be gone but will be there. sete gone from ducati but will be there, hopefuly back on a honda. hoffman gone.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (teomolca @ Jul 28 2006, 06:06 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>I bet Hoffman will still be there next year. Ducati sell quite a bunch of bikes in Germany.
i know teo, but i don't think that has anything to do with hoffman.

I really don't figure why ellison went to GP's in the first place. He was a sort of test rider for the WCM project and inherited the british seat through Peter Cliffords' Yamaha connections. He's not good enough but I bet he's cheap.

I'm not sure about Edwards frosty, He'll earn more elsewhere than team KR could pay. I'm not so sure he'll stay on a Yam either, depends on what new talent yamaha signs up.

i think Checa ran the "revised" chasis past couple tracks, Ellisons been on the old one....but they both run the crapy Dunlops...
Plus Checa's just a better ryder.

i don't think he'll be on the factory squad next season. i think they'll be a good chance he'll sign with another team, but somethin tells me he'll end up in wsbk. he's had his chances on a honda & the yamaha, we'll throw the cube out it does'nt count, & the results have been the same. dissapointing to say the least. i like colin & hope he stay's but i just don't see it.

I dunno why I`m thinking this, but didn`t Haslam ride a 500 at some point?

How did you find out Cardoso ain`t rich, teo?

Rumor has it Haslam is going to WSB in 2007. Apparently Ducati is pulling the plug on the AMA Superbike team and spend that money to field two factory teams in 2007. Riders being Bayliss, Hodgson, Haslam and Lavilla.

There's an article at www.superbikeplanet.com that explains Ducati's plan to leave AMA Superbike racing and create two factory teams in WSB. Read the article here. As far as where I heard who the riders were, it was posted in Colin Edwards' forum a little while back and I believe it was cited to a story. I would find it except CE's site has been down all week. I'm 100% sure that those four names are the four names tied to the four WSB Ducati rides. Well I'm 100% sure that that's the rumor anyways.

not only that, but this is the best year KRJR has had since he was Champ!
he's not going anywhere.

Under powered and under budgeted Honda experiment. Both riders had only limited input to bike set-up and neither of them were even allowed to change clip-on or footrest positions. It was a strange arrangement hence the crap results and loads of Crashes for both riders. Haslam is real talented and very experienced for his age, if he gets a Honda he should have a dig at motogp, could also be a good guy for Yamaha to consider in a sattelite team. Whatever happens I think Haslam deserves another shot, better Haslam or Toseland than James Ellison.

Ain't no way in hell man that's ever gonna happen. Kenny is capable of chasing the title next year if the team get to run one of the sattelite Hondas. I've been watching him very closely on the V5 and I can tell you for sure he's holding back a little during the races. Did you see his tyre after Laguna, it was like new. Let Pedrosa, Hayden, Melandri & Co fight it out. I think he's finding his race head again and getting used to michelins after some long and fruitless years with Suzuki. He's nothing to prove right now so no point in falling off for 5th or 6th. Kenny's gonna be primed for 2007. I'm tellin you guys watch this space next year.
