So who's "leaving" for 07?
<

i'm gonna guess!!...
1- Cordosa
2- Tamada
3- Edwards (maybe)...rumor of Stoner joining Rossi on the Yamaha.

Who knows about Cardoso, Luis d'Antin will have a hard time finding anyone else with as much talent as Cardoso who has any cash behind him to assist in paying his way for such a lowly team.

Tamada will need a miracle to save his ride or else he'll be relegated to a Honda WSB team.

Stoner won't work at Yamaha, he wants equal machinery as Rossi and equal input in the development (supposedly). One of the reasons Rossi left Honda was because they were planning on not having a lead rider in 2004 and giving everyone equal machinery. It didn't fly with Rossi at Honda and it certainly won't fly with Rossi at Yamaha. I think Edwards will stay where he is for 2007.

I don't think there will be much change this season, although after 2007 or 2008 I can see Gibernau, Capirossi, Edwards and Checa all hangin' 'em up.

Tamada maybe,

Its been confirmed Stoner will not be going to Yamaha as Ooost says he wants a level playing field, and Rossi has put the block on that move.

Edwards may go back to WSB, Cardosa will go, De Puniet???? no idea unless he improves and stops crashing.

Loris I think will saty as long as he has the fight in him, Sete maybe will go in 2008.

Loris is staying with Ducati until he retires

Stoner wants 1.3mill Yamaha only willing to pay 1.1

Tamada is staying put and rummored to be joined by Andrea Dovitsiozo

Sete his contract is up at the end of the year so dont know where he will be going but NOT out of MotoGP because he has money and Sponser behind him

Hope that helps

DON'T YOU DARE SAY THAT CARDOSO IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO BE IN MOTO GP! HE WILL BE 6 TIME WORLD CHAMPION ONCE ROSSI, HAYDEN, PEDROSA, CAPIROSSI, GIBERNAU, MELANDRI, STONER, NAKANO, HOFMANN, ELIAS, ELLISON, VERMEULEN, EDWARDS, TAMADA, DE PUNIET ( and i really cba to carry on now)...once they all leave!

On a Serious Note: -

1) Colin Edwards (Off to SBK)
2) Hofmann (Off to SBK again)
3) Elias (move to a lower Moto GP team)!

my dad thinks that rossi doesn't want stoner joining yamaha because he is afraid that burgess might get more focust on stoners team then on rossi's team. I don't know... but why else should rossi not want stoner with yamaha??

I think checa (no ofense to the fan on the forum, I forgot your name srry) could be one of the guys that will leave. but hopefully he can get a better ride next year. it's not looking that good for edwards, he realy needs some good finishes this season and maybe 1 victory to proof he also can be at the top.

DAMN! I thought MotoGP riders got paid more than that!

That would be me

No way, Checa has one or two more seasons in him yet, wether he's on Dunlops or not, he's been exellent this year under the circumstances.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>Rossi had denied recent rumors from England that he does not want Stoner with him on the factory Yamaha team next season.

“No, it’s not true,” Rossi said. “I speak with Yamaha and Yamaha said to me they speak with Stoner. For me it’s okay. I said to Yamaha I don’t have particular problem to have Stoner on the team…..For me it’s okay. The important [thing] is we [continue], me and Jeremy, together, the development of the M1. My teammate is not a big problem. I’m very happy with Colin, and Colin has seven races to be more competitive because it’s a difficult year for us, but I think Colin is a very good rider, so I think he has some chance to keep his place for next year. But if arrive other riders, for me it’s okay.”

hmmm

I think Honda would be stupid to keep Tamada. And Honda don`t have a reputation for being stupid. I don`t think He`d be able to find work anywhre else, he`s proven that he`s not very adaptable. Off to SBK I`m thinking

Hey wes, is the sponsor behind Gibernau you mentioned Telefonica? It`d be good if they came back, both for the sport and because last year`s Telefonica Gresini Honda`s had sweet paint jobs
<

I am only really concerned about Sete, because I think he has had a rough time and so much more potential.

Has it been confirmed he wont get the chop next year, is he staying with Ducati?

I don`t think he`ll be back with Ducati next year. If thier treatment of Checa is anything to go by, Ducati MotoGP are a bunch of ruthless, unforgiving .......s. So unless Sete pulls a miracle and starts getting some seriously dazzling results real fast, which, sadly, is unlikely, I doubt he`ll be on an 800cc Duke

Thanks Richo, so where is Sete likely to end up next year? Honda riders seem to be sorted, whats left?

Capa has not had a great season either I reckon on the Duke.

I don`t know where gibernau will end up, but I doubt it will be on a Ducati.
Capirossi has been having a tough time recenlty, but he was injured fairly seriously at Catalunya. His injuries were actually internal, so it took a lot longer to get back to 100% than it took Melandri and Gibernau. Then theres the fact that Ducati seem to love Loris like Yamaha loves Rossi. They won`t let go of him until he retires, I think.

Yamaha =
- Rossi
- Melandri

Honda =
- Hayden
- Pedrosa

Ducati =
- Capirossi
- {Not Gibernau}

That's what I quickly predicted.

I Think... Yam. 1. Rossi 2. Dovi... ( Edwards Tenkate SBK)
Hon 1. Melandri 2. Toseland ( Elais full time bullfighter)
Duc 1. Loris. 2. Sete.
Kaw 1. Nakano 3. De Pun
Hon 1. Kiyonari 2. Lorenzo
d,ant 1. Haslam 2. That bloke who rode for them at donington
I think Boys for the chop... Checa, Ellison? Cardoso, Edwards, Elais, Hoffman, Tamada for Kiyo,

I doubt Sete will do better and pull somne miracle soon because he had a second collarbone surgery.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE <div class='quotemain'>After returning from back-to-back races in Germany and America, it was discovered that the titanium plate inserted into Sete Gibernau's broken collarbone had 'weakened'.

As a result, Gibernau's participation in the next round of the MotoGP World Championship, the Czech Republic Grand Prix at Brno on August 20, is probable but not certain.

Gibernau sustained a broken left collarbone when he collided with Ducati Marlboro team-mate Loris Capirossi during a first corner pile-up - that subsequently involved four other riders - at the start of the Catalan Grand Prix on June 18th.

The Spaniard underwent an operation at Barcelona's Dexeus Hospital where surgeons Xavier Mir and Ignacio Ginebreda removed a plate from a previous incident and replaced it with a larger titanium one.

After going through the necessary period of convalescence and receiving the OK from doctors to race again, Gibernau returned to the track on his factory Desmosedici GP6 for the German and US GPs.

On both occasions Sete realised that his left shoulder was weak, but as he didn't feel any pain he continued to stoically ride through practice, qualifying and race on both weekends, finishing eighth and tenth in difficult events for Ducati and Bridgestone.

As soon as he returned from the USA, Sete went to Barcelona for a check-up and an X-ray scan revealed complications, caused by a weakening of the plate itself.
To avoid any further problems, Mir and Ginebreda decided to strengthen the main plate bolt and boost the bone healing process with injections of 'growth factors' extracted from the rider's own blood.

Gibernau underwent the second operation on Wednesday and was able to return home on Thursday.

Gibernau's recovery time should be quicker than following the first operation and Dr. Mir maintains that Sete will be able to take part in the next race - but only a medical check scheduled for Wednesday 2nd August will establish whether or not the Ducati Marlboro rider can race at Brno.

Yes Richo it is Telefonica
