At least much closer than the previous years. I don't think Baylis is going to be as dominant as he was, but probably still has the edge.

It's good to watch but I don't think they have more stars than MotoGP. I actually think MotoGP is better to watch too - the spectacle is greater.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Robin @ Dec 20 2006, 08:04 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Hmm tough question, obviously with being English my first choice would be Neil Hodgson. But thinking Japanese, I'd try and bring back Youichi Ui, he is a 125 champion, so he knows what it takes to win. Plus his name is Ui, which sounds like wee.
youichi ui was great, remember when he pushed his bike over the finish line cos it ran out of petrol (i think).
he seemed to slow down and go no where after he became a father or thats how it looked to me anyway,

Youichi Ui was always one of my favorite 125 guys, and he is a good rider, but he hasnt been world champion at any point, although he has come close.

As for superbikes being better than GP's, i find that quite a rediculous thing to say. You aer of course welcome to your opinion, but to me the spectacle of gp racing is just too much to resist, and the superbike racing is inferior in every way. The bikes are less impressive and slower, as are the tyres, and the tracks. The riders are at a (slightly) lower level, and the racing, for me is less exciting.

I LOVE gp racing and it has a certain magic abuot it which superbike racing does not come close too. Maybe it will one day, but i'd imagien that will be after the Bosses stop trying to ensure ducati victory and let it stay fair.

Slow motion? These are still the fastest 1000cc production sport bikes in the world we are talking about right?

Besides, I wouldn't care if they were on hot wheels 4-wheelers. When your on the track its man+machine vs. other man+machine. I do not mean to be argumentative, but the way I think about racing I would rather watch wsbk because they almost always produce the best wheel to wheel action with some of the best names in the sport. Do not get me wrong, but you very rarely see more than 2 guys in a fight for the lead in GP, but when you do it is incredible.

I can see where your coming from, man. And I agree, mostly. WSBK has cotrol rules that allow for bikes to be closer in spec than "The only way to win is to have an RCV or Rossi somwhere in your name' motoGP, but to me, theyre both great. I get drawn to the superbikes because of the close action, the fact that they ride bikes that I can aspire to own, and the fact that its full of Aussies who can mostly keep it rubber side down (That is, when Corser's viagra dosent jam him outta the seat) But GP has the technology, the talent and the spectacle. It's like the "Big Boy's playground" (With the obvious exception of Pedrosa, but you get what I mean)

Kenan Sofuoglu- if someone gets him out of WSS soon he may turn into a very good racer. The main problem is that the sponsors wont like him which is often the biggest consideration. James Toseland would also make a great Motogp rider.

I think most of these guys are a little old to be seriously looked at by the major teams. From what I can see, they're all looking for the 18 year old prodigy ( I guess I'm out).
