If you were a team owner and had a one seat deal with Honda, who would you try to sign to ride for you. Remember you can go for anyone that does not have a current contract or someone not already in moto gp or on a factory team in any other series.

I'm sure Dorna would appreciate me signing a British rider, so I'd go for Leon Haslam.

^ Yes good pick. I'd love to see what he could do!

Speaking as a girl he's also quite easy on the eye also.

Isn't he a factory Ducati rider?

I would sign Fabrizio or Fonsi Nieto

I'm not too sure actually.. Maybe Ben Spies.. but there are so many factors involved in choosing the right rider that we dont even realise

I'd ride it myself.
If not then this kid I play 360 with, goes by the name Eagle....
I read somewhere he kept up with James Ellison at Fontana.

Shakey Byrne, for all those great pics of him falling over. Which in turn would lead to more exposure for the sponsors. That's how it works right?

Right??

you all keep posting signed factory riders. spies, mladin, haslam, haga, kiyo, byrne............ all factory riders fellas & gals.

No factory riders makes it hard, I would have said Biaggi. Put the ole Duct tape round his mouth and he'll be right.

....Jeez I'm fryin circuits over this one Eagle, bloody good question...

Probably Porto. Is that allowed? West might be worth a shot. Scaping the bottom of the barrel here. I didn't realize how many good riders the world over had factory bikes. In the end I'd have to go with my heart and say Josh Brookes. Bit of a gamble, but it might pay off.

In my defence, I hadn't heard that Byrne had got a ride

Actually, you've got a good point there. I did think Shakey was riding pretty flippin good......for him, till he fell off........ as usual. I remember him falling off better than I remember him riding good!

Sorry Frosty an Eagle088. You are being really strict (and I have to admit I misread the instructions as you can have factory riders. (and no I'm not blonde)

I can't even have Bradley Smith.

I'll have to think on.

Thanks for the complement. I thought of this question while I was on the can at the mall the other day.

I wish I had been more clear when I specified the rules about no factory riders. I would have said Chris Walker but he is ridding for the Riz now. I liked Fonsi Nieto and Fabrizio becuase they put up good and consistent results last year in WSBK. Not to mention, I thought they got more out of their equipment than anyone else could have. I don't think that PSG-1 Kawasaki is a true works team, but I could be wrong.

I may be inclined to look at Danny Eslick here in the states, but he would have to clean up his act first. Eslick has more talent than some GP riders IMO, but the kid just does not have his head on straight. Man do I have stories about Eslick.

What are you talking about, Richo? This is an easy one... give the ride to Olivier Jacque!
<

What's that I hear you all muttering? Something about him already having a factory ride? What factory is this? That shambles that calls itself Team Green (with Envy)?
<

No? ....okay, so if he's out, how about Garry McCoy? It might be a few years too late for him, but he'd give Melandri some rear-sliding competition, if nothing else.

I think he is already with Ilmor, either way if he goes back to his old job he is still a factory supermoto rider.
