Bit bored tonight so thought i would start a thread on ere, whos ya fave and why, mine is Lorenzo :clap2::throb: Im old enough to be his mother but hey ho, :) why, cos i was doing a fantasy league in 2008 and needed another rider, picked Jorge, followed him ever since  looking forward to Silverstone and the British Moto GP here so i can see him live :D:D .

Currently Lorenzo, it's funny but I couldn't stand the little bugger a few years back but since his first MotoGP title in 2010 he's mellowed and is actually quite humble which is surprising as I thought he'd end up unbearable when he won the big one.

I love watching him race as well, to steal an old cliche he looks like he's on rails sometimes and he's perfectly capable of going wheel to wheel.

I am unashamedly a Rossi fan. He was the guy that got me into GP, and the guy can ride. I dare say not many 35 year olds could overhaul their riding style to stay competitive with guys 10+ years younger.

When he is gone, "my" rider with either be Bradley or Iannone. Both have shown they have what it takes this year. I am thoroughly convinced if either had a better machine, they would consistently fight for podiums.

Never say that. This will never happen. When he broke his leg only 7 people went to the race and only 4 watched on T.V. God healed his leg and Rossi was able to save the entire world. It went something like that.

I see a bright future full of Marc vs Iannone battles.

Even in retirement, Casey Stoner.

The man who finally showed Rossi was nothing more than hype who lucked out against subpar competition and obtained preferred winner status from Dorna for all these years, and then was exposed for what he really was when he went on his Ducati adventure.

Why have 1?

Doohan - dominating, brilliant, tough and a farken hard nut on the track (bit of a prick off it though). A racer first, second and third and not one interested in the off track BS

Rainey - see Doohan (minus the prick part as had no knowledge or interaction)

Lawson - as with Rainey

McCoy - the sultan of slide and IMO a massively under-rated rider ............ enough said

This. The way he could slide that bike was amazing. Marquez does it to an extent, but Garry is pure magic. Of course when it didn't work, his style caused him a great deal of pain...

As Gaz said, why have 1?

Lorenzo is my overall favorite rider as when he is having a good weekend, he is completely untouchable. Also his nearly flawless riding style is what keeps me watching no matter how uneventful a GP is.

Stoner would have to be my second favorite as he proved he is easily one of the fastest riders of all time, especially since he had the ability to win on a bike that clearly should never have been in a winning position. I still wish he never quit and stayed at Honda because I seriously think if he had, Marquez would not have a single title yet

And my third would be Pedrosa... for even though he has never really done anything noteworthy, he is a great example of never giving up on your ultimate dream no matter how many times people tell you you'll never make it...wow im gay

Rossi.

He got me into Motogp .

I noticed him on a news section when I was a kid , he was celebrating some 125 cc victory , I think it was when he won the championship.

Some time later, I noticed him again on a news section when Biaggi pushed him off the track with the elbow and Rossi gave Biaggi the finger after passing him.

I dont remember following the races after that, but I distinctly remember stumbling on a live eurosport broadcast of a race battle with Biaggi in 2001 I think right in the race Rossi won the championship.

I was hooked from then on.

My 2nd favourite would be Vale , then Bradders cos he has a lovely personality and was so funny on the TV ,on the motogp programme chequered flag(?) :)

All time would have to be Doohan, he was the man when I got into the sport and had come back from a horrendous injury to see off the competition in dominant fashion.

Lorenzo for me. I won't say Stoner was my second favourite because his demeanor pisses me off, BUT I will say that he could sure ride a motorcycle fast.

I like Cal, Jumkie with think I'm a tosser for saying this but he entertains me and doesn't seem to give a ..... Apart from that, I'm really growing a respect for PETRUCCI.

If I had to pick from the current mob it would be Miller, obviously as an Aussie I will support him plus that series of videos with Boris shows a bit of a piss take personality

But Ianonne has me watching as well

Rossi! Because like most, he's who got me into GP...or at least was interesting enough when I first started watching to get me into it.

If & when he retires, Iannone. He has heart & is nice to look at. Pretty much when he had that fight with MM with his shoulder all ...... up made me fall for him. He just doesn't give up which I can respect.

I dunno...Giovanni Bussei, Robin Mulhauser, Robin Harms, Max Sabbatani, Katsuaki Fujiwara, Warren Willing, Graziano Rossi, Louis Rossi, Luca Rossi, Katja Poensgen, Johnny Cecotto, Akira Yanagawa, Gabor Talmasci, Giancarlo Falappa, Taru Rinne, Seb Porto, Johnny Rock Page, Lukas Pesek, Pat Hennen, Dipak Ravikumar, Malcolm Uphill, Captain George Worthington Rockett, Cornelis Martinus Anthinius Maria Doorakkers and Franco Morbidelli

Elmer Trent - because he was the first to drag a bike - but also: ...

John 'Moon Eyes' Cooper - because he was the first to drag a knee.
Jean Philippe Ruggia - because he was the first to drag an elbow.
Scott Redding - because he was first to drag a helmet.
Loris Capirossi - because he was the first to drag out a career.
Anthony Gobert - because he was the first to drag a crack pipe.

Norrin Radd - although he's wasted on a surf board.

Jarno, Norick, Rainey.

Barry Sheene and Barry Machine.

So why didn't you get hooked on Ueda? Caned Rossi plenty of times. On an "inferior" bike...

You forgot one. Dajiro

I was more interested that Arrab included Gabor.
Why??
He is a tosser. Even Rossi and Biaggi aren't as full of themselves as that bloke...

You only say this because you grabbed his ....

I hear Stoner's is better.

:p
