Who had that gut feeling?

The reason we doubt it is because Rossi has a MUCH BETTER history at Valencia than Hayden.

And after Laguna, there were a few races dubbed "Rossi's territory" where he had dominated before.

Again, if we are betting on history's sake we will bet on Rossi. But as this season has shown it can be a tricky .....! So lets just wait it out and see what happens.

i can understand that people would bet on Rossi ... i mean who would bet against a rider of that calibre and with a resume like his. Any other season i would call it insanity, but whats been happening this season .... haydens still in with a chance.

roll on Valencia ... its gonna be one helluva race!

I think the reason it seems so impossible is Hayden has changed in the last 18 months. He's become a rider of consistency, but not so much one of outstanding results. If there were more rounds left that would be better for Hayden because he could work at it his way. But the fact is it's one round, a startling perfomance is needed, and its needed at Valencia. Unfortunately for Nicky, the rider most capable of pulling off somthing like that is the one leading him by eight points.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Katt @ Oct 20 2006, 08:50 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>funny how people were saying, when Vale was a good 43 points behind, that he could still win the championship... and now, hayden is only 8 points down heading into the last race and people think its impossible!?

strange that people will doubt the ability of one man over another.

its not over till the fat lady sings!

Its over, Hayden has 3 wins in 4 seasons. Vale has 58 wins in 6 seasons and 5 titles. Hayden blew a 51 point lead.
