<{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>For worst circuits i think it would be easy to say the US because of all the silly oval tracks and banked rubbish they have, but maybe thats none of my business because they are circuits built types of motorsport i am not concerned with, or at least it would be if they didnt try to race motorbikes on them. I also hate street circuits covered in armco like everything on the Champ car calender, its too bumpy and it doesn't look impressive of create good racing.
Tom, I'm jealous of you. You live in the country where Brands Hatch is located. You suck.
The "rovals" are pretty sad. NASCAR rules here. It is the black hole of motorsports in my country that sucks up most of the sponsorship and exposure. There isn't a ton of money to be spent on run off areas, nice garages, etc. US circuits are largely bad for bikes because of the safety issues. However, as far as layout goes, we have some of the best circuits in the world.
Road Atlanta, Road America, Lime Rock, Watkins Glen, Laguna Seca, Infineon, and VIR are great circuits. Some of them are very fast; all of them serve up lots of elevation changes. Sports car drivers who come over here to run in the ALMS praise American circuits because they're not chicaned and modernized like some European circuits. Sure, Miller is nice and safe, but the layout is boring. It's too neat and straitforward; the new track just doesn't excite like the esses of Road Atlanta, the corkscrew, or turn 8 at Lime Rock.
Sadly, the AMA doesn't race at the Glen or Lime Rock because of safety issues.
Canada also has two great tracks in Mosport and Mt. Tremblant. I think Mosport is the best circuit on my continent. Even though there are fewer straits, the sports cars run faster average speeds there than at Road America!
