what do you feel When Motogp without Rossi

Yes, we will be deprived from a few potential rematches. Catalunya, Laguna, etc. Am I dreaming with the hope of seeing Rossi come back for Indy? Afterall, Lorenzo raced with two broken ankles and Elias races with a broken fibula (or was it tibia).

motogp without Mr. Rossi will be a much better place especially if it will be like ‘moto2’ what wonderful racing we are seeing & experiencing on ‘moto2’ (I must add that we have never ever seen this sort of racing on the ‘500’s’ or ‘motogp’ ever, this is how it should be in ‘motogp’ none of these monopolies of factory bikes or certain advantages that these consortiums hold…it should be ‘A;; EQUAL’ and it should be up to the riders to make it happen…what do u all think???

For someone who claims to have followed gp/motogp since the 70's you sure have no understanding of 'prototype' racing.

So where have you been pinky ?

Yes he did and i admire them for that but unlike Rossi ,lorenzo's were not compound fractures !

Of course, it's not the same without Rossi. For some of us it's all we have ever known. I've only watched since the last year of 500s til now. And Rossi has always been a big part of the story. Whether he is the GOAT or not is debatable (I'll leave to those who have more knowledge than me) but he is certainly the most famouse motorcycle racer the world has ever known and transcends the sport. It will be a say day when he retires because he has given me so much entertainment. Anyway Biaggi is 39 and still going so why can't Rossi go on for another 8 years - assuming fib and tib are okay.

The thing to note about Rossi that he was almost always there at the sharp pointy end. Race in, race out he was fast.

Allow me to retort........

The epic battles will continue............. for 4th or 5th place

My work here is done

How do you figure?

There is one huge battle looming right at P1.

Lorenzo and Pedrosa.

Those guys are gunna be like the Spanish civil war all over again.

WHy? I think with Rossi out Pedrosa does not seem as intimidated? Pedrosa wants to beat Lorenzo, and with Rossi taking himself out, there's nothing between Lorenzo and Pedrosa at present.

Rossi doesn't intimidate Lorenzo, and Lorenzo was already the man to beat. But Lorenzo loves a show ...... now he's "da man!" I think he sees more customers with Rossi out
<
<

Stoner ...... ( if they ever get the Duc going
<
) I don't think anyone intimidates him but the track, other riders are just anoyances to him when they get in the way.
<

No, with Rossi out it changes things ...... but lets wait and see if it hots up or cools down

14 years... And over 10 in Top Class, always being Rossi against this or that Rider in pointy end, but always Rossi! Unlike any other Rider for all those years and still up till today. Did MotoGP lose when Doohan could not ride, of course! Did MotoGP lose when any Legend could not ride, of course! Hope Rossi gets back soon!

i'll bet you a pint that we don't have a finish with less than 1 second between 1st & 2nd til Rossi comes back

takers ?

Well thats a silly bet!!

How often does that happen anyway

Nice try, so nice I'll at least give you a tip on a good beer

All i know is i was following GP long before VR, and long before the internet and long before it ever got on TV. I used to wait for a month to get news on what was happening in GP from magazines. When Rossi leaves, it will not affect my status one bit, just one of the greats i have been lucky enough to witness in my life

Beat me to it. Yes, Rossi is the Goat (insert exasperated sigh emoticon here) - but people were

at various times overcome with hagiographic hero-worship of Hailwood, Ago, Sheene, Roberts,

Spencer, Lawson etc. and when they moved on the sport continued to thrive. As for me - I'm sick

to death of the whole "Rossi is too big to fail" mentality. He is not "bigger than the sport" to real race fans.

Rossi's temporary departure - just shakes the pieces in the puzzle box around one more time and we end

up with a different picture - which to me is a good thing, as the season was already sizing up as largely predictable.

If that isnt the ....... truth. He would be a huge fan of American Superbike and Daytona Sportbike. Prototype racing has nothing to do with equal equipment . Its about who can take the tech regs and build the baddest ... bike in those parameters. If your engineers are superior, so be it. More of the soccer mom mentality, where everyone gets to play and everyone gets a medal

then it would need to be a spec class....tires, engines, frames, one brand. Then the riders can race this way. I like prototype racing and if I want spec class racing...I will watch AMA.
