it's more that it's going to happen again because the seal has gone - don't think the engine has been damaged that much. i don't think they can even split the engine and re-seal it.

May be worth trying another Aprilia dealer? I thought the sxv only had a three month warranty anyway.

they ARE the Aprilia dealer. As far as I'm concerned - they have an obligation to look at it but the seem to have a different opinion.

don't suppose you can recommend a cheapish firm to shift me bike from Newcastle to Blackburn by any chance ?

need it done ASAP - summers coming !
 
man that sucks Baldy....thats the reason i haven't bought an SXV...reliability issues....you should have gone with a DRZ like me

I can tell you I'm pretty pissed about the whole thing. I've done 200 miles on the thing and that's it. Totally screwed.

On the other had - almost everysingle person I know who rides a supermoto tells me that they wouldn't have anything else after owing an sxv.

When it works I can tell you - it's BRUTAL ! 4th gear wheelies - off the throttle - nee worries
