i asked a friend to record the race for me while i was away, jumkie did me a copy off there tv, cbs i think it was and it was very good imo.
i got home and my mate dropped off the dvd but he copied it off bbc and not eurosport. well i must be honest here i thought they did a great job of the show including parc ferme interviews ect. i cant see a problem with those commentators
<

i hope the bbc keep that standard next year for all races and show 125 250 quali ect.

BBC commentary sucks and here's an example from Laguna:

1. Eurosport - After Casey crashed and Rossi went by pit wall, he took a nice long look at his pitboard. Both commentators instantly picked it up and commented on it.

2. BBC - Neither commentator noticed and in fact told the audience that they should watch for Rossi to check his pit board, totally after that fact and totally missing that he already did so.

There are way too many examples to share. Charlie and the other goon miss stuff ALL the time.

and the same can be said of eurosport commentators too ! commentators gaffs are all part of the entertainment mate

So you're saying you watched both??????

I watched both and honestly , if you can get a hold of the eurosport coverage I would do so. The commentary was in a tottaly different league. BBC's commentators lack a severe amount of enthusiasm whereas toby and julian were going flippin mental throughout most of the race.

I always record both the BBC and Eurosport coverage. One reason for this is that I know one channel will miss something, and another is that I'm split between Suzi Perry and Randy Mamola!

As you say commentary gaffs are all part of the fun. Anyone remember Murrey Walker!!

All the more reason for me to look forward to my move. Now all I'll have to do is somehow prove I'm more interesting than James Toseland.

Yeah well its all very well bbc having exclusive coverage but thinking about it they also have F1 next year and which will get priority when the races clash???? Red button means you can't record it so the whole things just stinks of .... to me. Plus Eurosport always replay the races the next day or at some point, I can't see the Beeb doing that so much even on red button. Anyway I will miss Toby and Jules they rock, tashed minger is ok and some of the extra bbc coverage is good, but not the actual race coverage.

I think Dorna have an understanding with the FIA to not have the races clashing.. qualifying might be a problem occasionally.

I'd be happy if I could get my hands on Eurosport or BBC coverage, cause I'd like to compare it to the Finnish one. Our commentators are actually quite decent in my opinion, but I don't really have anything to compare them to. They are A LOT better than our horrible F1 commentators though... Seriously, you guys have no idea what is a bad commentator if you haven't heard Matti Kyllönen...
"THE SUPER-GLADIATORS OF OUR TIME ARE GETTING READY FOR THE START. THE MASSIVELY POWERFUL ENGINES..." (Rough translation of what he is usually yelling before the start)

Moto GP has only now started to gain more popularity here in Finland so we don't really get many interviews yet (Only occasional phone interview of Aki Ajo, the team leader of Ajo Motorsport in 125cc or Mika Kallio), but recently we got a short studio section added recently, which is promising!

that statement makes me sick... charlie cox will never make a good commentator no matter who he's paired with.

You can get the Eurosport commentary online.

Eurosport clicky

There's a live audio button half way down on the right.

I haven't got Eurosport so I don't know if there's any delay.

You can also watch the BBC coverage online for a week after the race but it's restricted to the UK so you'd have to spoof your IP address.
