He's been with Kerakoll (Italian building materials) since 2006, I imagine on a short-term contract with all the F1/retiring talk since then.

The Adidas contract was for 2 or 3 mil (in what currency I don't know), I can't find the story now. It was sometime during 2005.

Yes, AMCN(in their 240 page edition) commented on his efforts with charity. I can't remember all the details, but I can recall one project which was to reconstruct the cemetery of Tavullia(which is apparently falling apart).

Anyone have that copy around?

Nicky was wearing the Arai, Casey had the usual Nolan lid.

If someone threw a couple of million dollars to put their brand on my helmet, it would be a case of where do I sign. It's Monsters decision and although it might be bad news for Hopper, it isn't Vale's fault or problem. I suppose we are all a little bored around this time of year.

The building industry worldwide has slowed right down, so I wouldn't have thought Kerakoll would have the spare cash for sponsorships now days!

This deal has under discussion for over two years and became more likely when Rossi brought a mock-up of a Rossi-Monster helmet to the Indianapolis Grand Prix last summer.

Yeah....like Rossi sporting a Monster theme helmet in the US grand prix was meant to be in all fun. Rossi did it on purpose so that Monster will recognize and have an interest. Rossi is a greedy little ........ Pay your taxes like the rest Rossi.
And if you paid attention to the article you're quoting, you would understand that he had the Monster mock up there to sort out how they could keep the M on while Rossi's helmet changed countless times a season. Again in the article you're quoting, it says that the Monster/Rossi deal is two years in the making. Wouldn't that put this just before Rossi getting nailed on taxes?

Regardless, every rider has personal sponsors and if you think anyone out there is going to turn down deals then you're delusional. Rossi is no more of a whore than any other top level athlete, which is none at all really.

I don't recall that.

And before Hopper's Kawasaki/Monster deal
