I have read more than one article that Necky was probably the last of the USA dirt trackers who would ever make it to motogp. Looks like they were wrong as 18 yyear old Steve Bonsey could be riding for an Aprilia 125cc team next year. In my opinion this is the avenue to go for USA racing. Get the kids to European series as soon as possible. Let them learn the tracks and experience world level compitition as soon as possible.

I like the smaller classes and now it will be great to have somone I can identify with and cheer for.

If only speedtv covered the 125cc class

Its definately the way to go, if hes good enough and makes it to Motogp one day he won't be handicapped.

He was in that series all this year.
He crashed a lot which means nothing since he had never ridden road bikes before.
There might be a few more Americans as well.
We'll have to see if the red bull rookies cup graduates any of them into
the 125 class.

I like the guy, met him at Laguna in the Red Bull area. Cool guy. Only 17 as well. From watching him race in his first year of road racing I was not at all impressed. But according to Kig Kenny Roberts Senior he could be the real deal.
