Toseland: WSBK as hard as MotoGP

Interesting that he feels that way but he was a front runner in WSBK.

Of course MotoGP is more advance than SBK, but I doubt Pedrosa, Lorenzo or Stoner can handle SBK bikes..It's too heavy for them..

Well, the physical aspect is more limiting in motoGP than in Superbike. I'd say that world superbike is more similar to the 500 two strokes where anyone with enough balls could ride the wheels off one of those things regardless of how much they weigh and WIN. Now in motoGP you have no chance on the 800s if you weigh less than 60 kgs. Thats why I feel that Toseland, Nicky, and Spies are done for in MotoGP and should stick to Superbikes.

Man could you imagine that race though? Superbikes with Spies, Hayden, Toseland, and the rest of the World Superbike field? Get Rossi in that too so he can go after Biaggi. Wow what a race that would be. Also you could get Mladin there if it was on an American track. Better yet, how about if they were all at Daytona! Man this is getting me excited.

100+++ agree, get Rossi to SBK too..leave all the 250 kids in MotoGP...

I am all out the for the like of JToseland, NHayden, BSpies, CEdward, CVermuelen for their rides in GP..but I doubt they can be MotoGP champion riding 800 cc MotoGP bikes which are designed and developed for 250 kids.

What I find interesting about toseland is that he was most competitive at the beginning of the season, showing himself to be quite impressive in his first race on the MotoGP bike. However his shortcomings were 1. his weight and 2 the lack of the pneumatic valve engine that the factory Yamahas had. Now, he has the same engine as the factory and he has allegedly lost quite a bit of weight. However he is still just average. I personally only think that he will have another two years to try and win in motoGP before he is dumped and will have to go back to WSB. Hopefully we'll have Nicky there by then too and everyone else who didn't start out on 125s and 250s and cant win on these midget bikes

Tires. Put Toseland, Edwards, Hayden, Pedrosa, Dovi and Lorenzo on Bridgestones and watch them all go a tenth or two quicker.

I think they need a hell of a lot more than "a tenth or two"

I think if you have that many guys going a tenth or two quicker you are going to bridge the gap to the front and inherently increase battling for position, further slowing the pace at the front. That makes it easier for riders third through fifth to stay up. And frankly, a tenth or two over race distance would likely put those guys much closer to the front, if not at the front.

Moto GP needs a control tire, I could give a crap less about a tire war.

I definitely agree with that. Thats something Toseland never had to deal with in WSB. Only Valentino Rossi can actually have the influence to choose the tire company he wanted. I say ditch michelin. They've screwed up WAAAY too many times. Just have bridgestone make the spec tires. They seem to know what they're doing
