That incident with Marquez and Lorenzo with marky leaving pit lane could have been so much worse. Both riders very lucky.

Did some of our Washington ........s somehow wind up in Australia today?

Yeah, talking about the girl you wrenched for. Kinda funny how she was quick but was still left out of the boys club, although if she really was that much of a ..... then that might have had something to do with it.

By the by, Katja Poengsen also scored a pair of GP points in a 250cc race back in 2001, or so says the official motogp website.

Yeah, i seem to remember Katja scoring points because she threw her gloves and boots into the crowd. All the blokes were telling her to strip and throw her leather in haha, but the tv gimps seem to think ana is the second. They probably forgot about Taru Rinne.

Again, i lay the blame at race direction. Why make then ride the speed limit to the end of pit lane only to have slow bikes meeting fast bikes.

agreed, i havent really given 2 ..... about his past exploits, but that was just ...... stupid on mm's part. every rider knows, even from club level, what the score is coming out of pitlane. he didnt even bloody look.

I thought this was why Marq was getting a penalty til the graphic came up.

I knew Marq missed the pit window, didn't think he'd get black flagged for it though...maybe a ride through

actually we have an political campaign in aus for that. SMIDSY. Sorry Mate, I Didnt See You.

he looked TWICE...first time no one had crested yet, 2nd time Lorenzo and Ped was coming in hot...Marq knew they were coming

he did? i stand corrected then. hes just a flat out ....... then haha :)

Well, a monumental fark up on so many bloody levels.

Is/was the black flag to Marqez to harsh (and don't forget Cudlin and Staring also got the flag)?

The 'drop a position' penalty to Pedrosa for the pit lane speed ............ since when is the penalty for a pit incident to drop a position on track?   And that makes no mention of the fact that the 60 zone was only moved this morning.

The sheer fact that the DORNA rule imposition forcing pit stops means that bikes are entering the circuit at turn one was bloody stupid and irrespective of who may have been at fault caused the Lorenzo/Marquez touch and subsequent damage to Marquez's bike.

All up, from a personal view this was a bit of a total joke and has a ring of 'Mickey Mouse' about it.

Hope we never see or experience such a total fark up again as all it does is make the sport look ill-organised.

But, well done Lorenzo on maintaining focus amidst the cluster fark of stuff ups ........... you are still in it there .

after the pitlane "lines" he's free to whatever he wants...BUT he should have been smarter about it.  That .... could have ended horrifically for all three of them

Here's a question. If Pedro has to drop a place does it count if he drops a place to a bike that isn't officially in the race (MM)?

So did dani finish 2nd or 3rd. I thought he was stood on the 2nd place step.  This race will go down as a classic but all for the wrong reasons.

I wonder what new rules will race direction make for next race, to make the championship more 'interesting'

Rog,

From what I saw he lost Position  2 to Marquez prior to the black flag thus he did 'give up' one position as directed/required.

Whether the person he lost that position to finished is immaterial (or should be as the penalty was not said to apply at race end)

No passing on the inside of a turn ................. what constitutes the inside to be determined by race direction based upon a head or tail challenge applied at the discretion of the blind (drunk) clerk of course
