The real world champion will retain his title.

For the record Katt and Hector, I am a converted Gibernau fan. I disliked him from 2003 because I felt that he didn´t deserve the Honda ride he received and because of that I disliked him and felt that his success was due to the bike. Since his switch to Ducati, I have become a fan. Hopefully he will stay in MotoGP in 2007 with Kawasaki or Ilmor.

Capirossi on the other hand.. he leads races flag to flag..

Nicky always tries to race flag to flag... Rossi will race flag to flag but if he sees that he doesn't have the pace, especially on the Yamaha, he will scoot back a little, let others overtake and then dogfight to the end. I haven't seen Hayden win a lot of dogfights.. Assen was the only one I remember.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Katt @ Oct 24 2006, 05:14 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>^ totally agree. but i think the insults are mainly let go because sete and max don't seem to have much of a fan base on here.... therefore no one to defend them. I mean not many people would say .... about rossi because they would get strung from the highest tree by all the rossi fans and valentiniboppers. chris V on the otherhand, is an easy target and only a handful of people would defend him.
i dont deny that ive put .... on some of the riders, but i guess every ones gotta realise that they're people too!
rant over
I know at another forum, I called Pedrosa to be rookie of the year and a top 5 this year in day 1... ppl called Stoner, some said Hayden has more talent, but I pick Pedrosa having more skillz.. yeah he doesn't speak English so he can't express himself and I'm sorry he doesn't have a playful attitude... but why all the robot slander? I don't get it... a lot of other riders don't focus on the cameras too but Pedrosa seems to get teased because this is the first time we saw a rookie taking it to the veterans since Rossi, and no one was allowed to do that.

Pedrosa gets crap from the valentiniboppers because he gets media attention and credit for being a good, promising rider. The boppers seem to think that Rossi is the only rider deserving of attention and praise. They know Pedrosa is a threat to their wonderful God, so they deal with the feeling of uneasiness by making fun of his physical appearance and perceived off-track demeanor. I mean, how dare anyone ride hard and compete for the title? Don't they know that Vale's name is engraved on the trophy at the start of each season?

I don't know which is worse: the boppers' current behavior or the prospect of Rossi leaving early, eliciting remarks like, "[insert rider here]'s title is meaningless because he didn't beat Rossi."

"Oderint dum metuant"

It's latin for "Let them hate provided they fear"

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BruceLee @ Oct 22 2006, 10:42 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>I am still smiling about the Hayden Pedrosa incident. I do not want to see a rider win the MotoGP championship that has only won 3 races in 4 years of racing MotoGP. He is rarely upfront racing for a win. When Rossi passes Hayden Hayden never tries to regain the position. If he were truly a champion he would have been racing upfront with Rossi.

Too bad he shut off and braked in front of a racer like Dani Pedrosa and caused the crash. Hayden is also boring to watch race. If Hayden is a MotoGP champion he should run up front and control the race.

He can always look forward to another MotoGP win at Laguna Seca next July which is not a real GP but an AMA event with the 1 MotoGP race as a side show. There are no 125cc or 250cc racing. Three days of AMA practice and racing with 2 GP practice and 1 race.

Maybe I can find some Yankee buddies that will watch the race, drink beer and argue about how poor little Nickey got taken out by Pedrosa. Come on guys, Hayden blew a 51 point lead.

LOL, it's not all about winning races as Nicky just proved today. Consistancy is also a very important trait to have in any racing championship.

Yes, I am very happy Nicky won and Honda proved that many of their riders can win races because of their good machinery.

I guess the engraver messed up this year, cuz he put Hayden's name.

Yes, I am very happy Rossi won (the previous years) and Yamaha proved that many of their riders can win races because of their good machinery.

(Yeah, lets not give credit to Hayden, the rider doesn't have anything to do with this?)

Jumkie, your missing the point. Of course the rider has nothing to do with it, unless that rider is Rossi. Are you actually implying that there's someone else on the grid who can ride other than the almighty #46? That's blasphemy!

Oh, I'm sorry. I just thought...

(other voice) ... well that's your problem right there, stop thinking and start agreeing.

Yes master.

BTW: props to you on Bayliss, don't think I didn't notice. Its to bad he's not on a Honda cuz then he'd really dominate SBK (wink wink)

<
just having a laugh, man.

As for Bayliss, I think he's very well suited to a Ducati, and the 1200cc Duke might prove to be an advantage over the four cylinders, or it could put shame on Troy in his twilight years. As a fan (like a Rossi fan) I like to belive Bayliss is just that bit better because he dominates on what I belive is currently inferior technology.

And there was me thinking the 999 had the most advanced electronics package on the grid this year.
