I am still smiling about the Hayden Pedrosa incident. I do not want to see a rider win the MotoGP championship that has only won 3 races in 4 years of racing MotoGP. He is rarely upfront racing for a win. When Rossi passes Hayden Hayden never tries to regain the position. If he were truly a champion he would have been racing upfront with Rossi.

Too bad he shut off and braked in front of a racer like Dani Pedrosa and caused the crash. Hayden is also boring to watch race. If Hayden is a MotoGP champion he should run up front and control the race.

He can always look forward to another MotoGP win at Laguna Seca next July which is not a real GP but an AMA event with the 1 MotoGP race as a side show. There are no 125cc or 250cc racing. Three days of AMA practice and racing with 2 GP practice and 1 race.

Maybe I can find some Yankee buddies that will watch the race, drink beer and argue about how poor little Nickey got taken out by Pedrosa. Come on guys, Hayden blew a 51 point lead.

First of all welcome to the site.

You could say that Hayden never battles back when he is overtaken, especially if we are discussing Rossi, but that is speaking in huge generalities. Recall Qatar this season? Three passes in three corners, or their battle at Phillip Island in 2005? Hayden will dice with Rossi when he feels comfortable, there just aren't many places that he, or any other rider for that matter, are comfortable enough to really take it to Valentino.

Are we really going to bring up who's at fault for the incident? You and I know as well as anyone else on the forum in the sense that we don't have a clue. Puig claims he shut off too soon, Dani's not saying anything and Hayden can't believe Puig said that. Whatever the real story is who knows, everyone else in the racing world seems to be of the belief that Pedrosa outbraked himself and slammed him. But like I said before, the only ones who know for sure are Hayden and Pedrosa so discussing any further is a moot point.

Yeah, a guaranteed victory is pretty nice every season. Why do you think Vale enjoys Mugello so much? MotoGP gets just as much time at Laguna Seca as they do at any other track (in fact they had an extra hour and a half of practice in comparison to any other GP on the schedule in 2005). It is the AMA series that is the side show, read any of the quotes from AMA riders about this season's Laguna round. They had no time at all because MotoGP was controlling the track time.

I'll admit Hayden hasn't been performing to his standing as the championship leader and now runner up since Laguna Seca. However, you can't sit there and honestly believe the results would have been the same if Honda fixed his clutch. It's tough to get points when you're swallowed by ten riders by the first turn each race.

You say that.. but how often does Rossi lead flag to flag? He prefers to sit back and wait for his moment, and it works for him..

Capirossi on the other hand.. he leads races flag to flag..

Thanks for the welcome. I still believe 3 wins in 4 seasons says a lot!

Thanks for the replys. I will have a Warsteiner and remember you guys as the Doc goes to work and takes the championship that champions deserve.

Wait until the Yankees join in to kill me!!!!

I don't think anyone in my town will be buying me a pint on the 29th.

You know..I want to see Vale win on Sunday as much as anybody out there but all this 'he's gonna walk it' talk is making me nervous. It ain't over till it's over..and we all know how easy it's been for Vale to be out of the race this season. All this stress and anxiety's gonna give me wrinkles dammit!!!!

Tell me about it bikergirl. This has been the longest week ever. Feels like I've aged a year. Now I gotta wait another week. Whew...I need help.

There are lots of riders on the grid. Of course most of us have our own favourite riders. We all cheer for our riders and hope to see some damn good racing.

What get's me is when I go through most of the post here, it seems like everyone is bagging on Hayden. For what reason because he was leading the championship all season and Rossi wasn't up top.... OMG someone else other than vale was in the lead.... How dare hayden help make this one of the most interesting seasons. Granted there were other factors that made this season very interesting other than Haydens consistency but why all the bashing?? He's not cocky, He goes out there and races his race. Bottom line he was on top all season and that deserves some amount of credit especially with the lack of support he was getting from his team until Honda realized that it was HE and not Dani that had the best shot at the title.

I'll never take anything away from any other rider, they are all heroes to me. To say that only reason Val wasn't in the lead the whole season was because of his bike difficulties is fine but this is a team sport. If everyone had the the same ride/team behind them every weekend it could be a crap shoot on any given sunday cause there is tons of talent on that grid that rarely gets to show it.

Bottom line......why all the hate? lol

Completly agree with you there. When I first joined this forum there was a post about CV mole and nobody gave a shat. But when I posted that Rossi looked like a ... stripper, I got the usual ".... off you prick" and "lets see what you look like" comments from some of the members here. People need to respect peoples opinions more on this forum, Riders like Max and Sete are always being insulter here, but thats somehow OK.

^ totally agree. but i think the insults are mainly let go because sete and max don't seem to have much of a fan base on here.... therefore no one to defend them. I mean not many people would say .... about rossi because they would get strung from the highest tree by all the rossi fans and valentiniboppers. chris V on the otherhand, is an easy target and only a handful of people would defend him.
i dont deny that ive put .... on some of the riders, but i guess every ones gotta realise that they're people too!
rant over

Oh no Im not saying that your a bad mod or anything. Im just saying that there would of been no such backlash if someone like Biaggi was insulted.

And my girl has a

For real!!! Where is the love people? Anyways, I think it's necessary to bring this up. If Vale had been the one to get knocked down, there would be anarchy

considering the number of Rossi supporters in the world. So as for the Hayden fans, you have every right to be upset. Now it seems like there's all this Nicky bashing going on, but remember all the Pedrosa bashing that happened not so long ago? Oh wait, it's still going on. So just relax and respect other people's opinions, even if it's an ignorant one.

I'm a big Rossi fan but I never hated Biaggi or Sete. In fact, I'm hoping for Max to take the title back for Suzuki next year. Sorry richo, I like Bayliss but I think Max is going to give him a hard time next year. Hopefully the championship will be a little tighter for more excitement.
