The Laguna 08 'Brake Check'

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Jumkie @ Jul 24 2009, 03:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Impossible discussion.

And even then, its already been discussed young newbie (I say this with affection). Use the search engine and you will find it. BTW, only three people know if a “brake check” really happen, 1. God, 2. Rossi, 3. Me. Neither of them cares to discuss it.

Bye bye.
<

Seems to still have some fight in it, latest issue of AMCN brought it up-not me, in a way which makes it out to be common fact. Which is of course the topic of debate....is it, is it not, that is the question.....c?

God has left the building on this one, and I am new but there have been and are certainly are shittier threads on here!!!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Bootsakah @ Jul 24 2009, 03:36 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>It really boils down to this, Casey Stoner said in the post race interview that his going down in the gravel was "his fault". He accepted the incident as his.

When the guy (Stoner) that supposedly was brake checked admits the incident was his fault, immediately after losing the race, when his emotions very high as we all know. Then I would not put blame on someone else. What Stoner was pissed off about was the other hard racing that was going on, namely the pass in the corkscrew. But let's not reopen that can again.
<

Was that the one that really pissed him off? I had the impression that he said that it was not the worst one and it was bit of a mystery what pissed him off so badly.

I'm just going off this post race interview:

Matt:
"That a break check in the corner there by Valentino?"

Casey:
"Who knows, but the mistake where I crashed was my fault. I think I could have ran wide and still could have caught up. I completely made that mistake, that was all mine, but the beginning of the race, some of them overtaking moves I was so friggin (not sure what word he used here) on the floor it wasn't funny. And I know there is hard racing I have been in hard racing my whole life, but for me that was past the point"

He doesn't specifically point out the corkscrew pass, but that was the one that almost ran him off the track. I suppose in the interview he just noted "overtaking moves". Trying to not beat this dead horse again, but it's finally a slow day at work and I can post.

I remember that interview but there were many others, and I just thought I remembered him saying there were others worse than the corkscrew, but I've been wrong before.

I think the "Alleged" brake check was on the hill leading up to the cork screw. Thats where jumkie flew out of his seat screamimg "dirty racing"

All his mate's agreed with me that there was nothing wrong at all, just close racing.

Wants some cheese with that wine. What a baby. It figures he and Tom Cruise would be buds. They are very similar.

1. Both married Amazon women twice their height.
2. They have ......'s where their balls should be.
3. Both are on some kind of medication.

4. Both are watching their careers plummet downward.

If you insist on finding out whether it was a break check or not, simply ask babel. Though I know he wasn't the "2" people I listed, I'm certain he watched it on TV, so he would know the answer, I'm sure of it!

BTW, Clarky had the best take on this whole incident. Case closed.

On a side note, Rossi says in that little exchange that he didn't touch Casey. Hahaha, well no ...., that's because he moved out of the way of the out of control bowling ball coming down the corkscrew.

True- don't you just love the way VR answers rhetorically 'About What?!' and 'And anyway I tink he made da mastake all by himselve!'

JB-the most qualified to comment- summed it up the best I feel;

Understandably Stoner was backed by his team, who re-iterated many of his feelings. For his part, Jeremy Burgess – who worked with Doohan and Rainey before joining up with Rossi – felt there was no case to answer.

“I think that if Casey had raced in the '80s and '90s with Kevin Schwantz, Wayne Rainey and Mick Doohan, he'd have seen that every weekend,” said Burgess.

What about the Paint scraper on the way up the hill by CS? I would imagine having that desmo so close to your leg at that speed would have been cause for concern heading into the Corkscrew....(especially having seen your ....... brilliant pics from Rog & Jumkie's great adventure of that approach)

It takes two to tango.....just ask Pinky.....oh ...., sorry we might end up doing more dirt-tracking here than planned!

Well that because casey tried passing vale on the approach to the corkscrew putting vale off line. You called it a break check but either way it made casey pass on the out side of vale on the aproach causing both to use less than ideal lines. its called brain out ....... close racing and i want to see more of it compa !!

Just having a bit of fun you understand.

1. but which of the two ladies in question would be the strongest based upon the obvious visual body mass, and ergo which of the males needs to improve their body mass the most to avoid fatigue caused by dealing with these women and what methods would you suggest

2. as least Caseys got created in a wicked highside when he landed on the tank, Tom can't claim that but I do wonder if L Ron Hubbard knows that Tom has a vag - is it allowed in Scientology. As for the oft repeated sand in ...... as an insult - ask any woman how much it hurts to have sand down there when they run or even move, so I reckon it is a compliment as to ones toughness.

3. Scientology is a religion or cult, depending on your view, not medication - although I suspect that Tom takes plenty of tablets. Stoner is apparently following the advice of a trusted personal trainer and has commenced a program of Human Growth hormones and steroids to improve his body mass to make him stronger and thus lessen the chances of the fatigue that has been plaguing him (apparently he is to lazy and apathetic to improve his work ethic and is after a quick fix).

4. Did Cruise have a career?

Well played gaz. I will take a stab at answering your questions.

1. Well I have only been about 100 yards from Adriana and I have only seen Katie on Hd tv, but I think I can answer that. Adriana looks to be about 10% body fat where Katie looked to be about 11.5%. The boys are good I think their women like them small.

2. If thats how CS got his ......, I will take you at your word. And Tom may not have his own, but he can barrow Oprah's any time he wants. I think his sealed shut. As for Stacie's sandy vag, I told him to stop playing in the sandbox before & during races.

3. You seem to know an awful lot about Scientology. Also do they take urine samples in motogp?

4. Short answer no, unless you count one good year. Just like the lady in red.

Lets see if we can keep this going for the fun of it.

1. Adriana must have bulked up a bit, maybe she took one of Caseys tablets - who knows, but bringing ..... size into this is plain uncalled for, low and showing no balls at all.
<

2. Hadn't thought that Tom was borrowing but now you mention it - well it does explain his jumping on the chair in a tantrum screaming something or other. How dare Casey not listen to you when you tell him to get out of the sandbox - were the toys in or out of the sandbox at the time as I notice no mention of tantrums. Next time, maybe try luring him out with lollies or a chocolate - all for his own good, like a reward system.

3.. I can spell Siantology and know who started it - you that can be blamed on our local Austar (cable/satellite TV) for that - nothing else to do but watch bloody boring documentaries when no sport is on tele. Not sure if they take uring samples but that could well explain the cord running from the red ones leathers and out the back - and here I was thinking it was a drink tube.

4. Tom had one good year - must have missed it. But I actually enjoyed Kelly LeBrock as the Lady in Red within video clip of the song from weird science (she had nice legs) but I barely if at all see the relevance for her in this thread

I have been unable to resist the temptation to further flog a dead horse. The corkscrew incident was in the end a racing incident which I think even stoner now considers it to be after some reflection.

Stoner's initial reaction seems to have been (perhaps understandably in the heat of the moment) that rossi had decided to take the corner come what may, even if it involved t-boning stoner which he almost did.

What happened in my view is that rossi made a mistake in the heat of competition and went into the gravel (arguably not a mistake if eye witnesses like roger are correct and stoner nudged him on the approach to the corner), did brilliantly not to put the bike down ab initio, then only had the options of re-entering as he did or continuing down the corkscrew into the fence. As kevin schwantz opined at the time stoner made a tactical error, as if he had not held his line neccessitating evasive action he could have taken off into the distance.

The " brake check" when stoner made his own error was not as others have said something that stoner had any issue with, so I don't see that anyone else should either.
