I bet Yama-AL wishes he was Pedro's bike, he woulda loved to give him a few bruises.

Dani's speed trap times havn't been that slow really because he is carrying enough corner speed to iron over the poor low down power of the honda.

True, but on that 1km long straight the Ducati will come into it's own with the aero package.

From how it looks, the Honda looks quite unaerodynamic.

If you recall Qatar, there was a big pulling away of the Ducati on the main straight, even compared to the Honda.

If all the Ducati's are up there, Rossi and Pedrosa might struggle for good placements, barring engine upgrades of course.

Will honda bring a bigger fairing to get more speed on that massive straight?

Bridgestone started competed only from 2003. Given that, they are kicking Michelin's butt. They have already done so on F1 and will do the same in MotGP. Japanese v. French? Who do you think will win?

I think they will have to. Either that, or they will have to finde riders as small as Pedrosa who can tuck in behind their mico fairing. At top speed, wind resistance is a key factor.

At the end of a very long straight Tom, the last corner speed achieved means very little on a MotoGP bike!

My hope is that even with Shangai’s longest straight, and considering that at Qatar Rossi kept up the pace and even overtook for a while, Shangai has much less flowing turns in the rest of it.

No, I think they’ll bring smaller riders…
