"Texas tornado" speaks out

Edwards, Haga, Hodgson, Xaus, Bayliss, Hayden - SBK guys have all struggled for a variety of reasons. Some-to-most, not of their own accord. None of the superbike guys have been a #1 rider and priority in Motogp. Bayliss was close but ran into an italian motogp legend in an italian team. He was not #1 rider.

Haga, Hodgson, Xaus - I really don't think that you should have expected them to win on grossly underdeveloped bike with 3rd rate tyres. (Edwards for some of his time as well)

If the current tyre and bike development issues haven't illuminated anything it has been how only a certain few riders and a few teams have access to the top tyres/equipment.

Satellite teams are so far down the development and support list it's laughable. Ask Team KR or LCR Honda or Konica Minolta. Those guys get whatever is handed to them bike wise at the start of the season and limp along for until midseason to 3/4 season when they get minimal upgrades.

Edwards specifically is a complete mystery or a lesson into motogp politics. He has never been a Priority Rider on any team except Aprillia.

I believe on the Honda he was a step child interms of support and bike assistance. Michelin and Edwards struck up a great relationship as they tried to develop tyres to solve the chattering issues.

The Tyre relationship has been the only thing keeping him in Gps. He moved from Sat-Honda to Aprillia to Yamaha. Aprillia was impossible to ride due to the lack of electronics, development etc.

Yamaha -Rossi arrangement - Colin is the #2 rider period. He gets upgrades much much later in the year - Remember the engine and chasiss upgrades that Rossi received and Colin didn't get them until about 3 rounds later?

Colin accepted his role a long time ago and is making his money, traveling the world enjoying racing and life. I don't see him as any less talented than the rest of the paddock.

Make your money CEII. Enjoy your family, racing in the top series. I hope that you come back to AMA as a #1 rider.

Colin should go back to WSBK or AMA while hes still racing age because he can win there NP.
