Supermoto Madness

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (chopperman @ Mar 1 2010, 03:11 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Berry, those motox pics you posted are not of a bike backing in, and riding techniques on dirt are very different to tarmac. This is a pic of backing in, notice the rear wheel is not spinning so therefore he did not "crack the throttle" to initiate a slide. Also notice how the bike wheels are not inline. unlike the pics you posted.

So you are saying his wheels are stopped there Rog. ?

What shutter speed was that shot taken at Rog.?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Arrabbiata1 @ Mar 1 2010, 03:03 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>That wasn't the question - yet again you have ignored what I posted. I've shown that the downshift is advocated in the very link you provided and you ignored it. You just digress and repeat yourself ad nauseam.

So to repeat myself - answer the question - no links, no jibes no tangents, simple yes or no: Are you still adamant that there is no use of the rear brake or the downshift when backing in during the video posted on this thread?

Its in that post, just read what I said about brakes.

No Where did i say that ?
im saying his rear wheel is rotating at a slower speed than the front, this causes the bike to go sideways as in the pic. this is achieved by the reasons given in the above posts. Notice the lack of tyre smoke coming of the rear tyre, that shows he is not spinning up under power regardless of camera shutter speed as you have suggested. Also look at his right foot and see how he covers the rear brake. I never used the rear brake to initiate a slide but used it along with the clutch to feel what your tyre is doing on the tarmac surface and get that smooth balance. Get this wrong and it bites, normally throwing you over the handle bars. Something you don't get on the loose stuff do to lack of grip. The bike just washes away from under you on the dirt. Riding the berms is not the same as backing in berry !

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BarryMachine @ Feb 28 2010, 04:24 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><div class='quotemain'>Its in that post, just read what I said about brakes.
No it's not - there is no mention of the techniques used by Max and Nicky in respect of the video clip.

If you can make him see that Rog where all others have failed, then you should consider a career as a Special Needs teacher.

Oh so you say that tyre is going slower than the front?. Amazing how you can tell that just from that pic.
<

And your proof for that is that you say there is no smoke? I'm sure I've seen tyre smoke for bith slower or faster means of breaking traction.

Well "duh" on the berms Rog. as I quite clearly have pointed out previously
<

So you would say you've never used the throttle to initiate a slide Rog.? I'm not really surprised at that.

Do you know what you are arguing against here Rog.? .... apart from BarryMachine

Arab. I've seen you post lots of pictures on Nicky and now Biaggi, and then speculate on how they are sliding. Now post something that describes in their words what they are doing.
<

Not Arab's interretation .......

Post me a legit article by a fast motard rider which accords with your "kids skids" method.
<

Ok ...... crunch time.

Post a pic of yourself sliding and describe how it was done at that corner. Can be dirt or tarmac ( manily because I don't think the technique is all that diferent, unlike what Rog. does )

And Arab's award for most diligent "skid kid"

My argument is with you on your ascertion that:

"Slides are initiated buy rear brake or downshifting."

And one more time for the dummy .....

I have told you before in one of my earlier posts, the one where I took umbrage at your statement that Slides/Backing it in are initiated by the use of rear brake or downshifting.

As i said I would not usually use them and would certainly never initiate a slide intentionally with either
<
How many times do I have to tell you this
<

Don't you get it? ...... your interpretations from videos of folk sliding are probably very wrong. Again as I suggested before get out and try one
<

As I posted a very old picky of myself doing just that
<

How hard is it for you?
<

Though I see now most of those original posts have been deleted by the moderators etc. ......

So who knows maybe you will change your mind on how to initiate a slide.

Me I'm sticking to pretty simillar to what Matt Pursely does
<

Oh jesus christ, not this .... again. Let it go Arrab!

Your a moron, i just cant be bothered with you this year. was fun previously but im bored with you now. You are just to obvious now, you showed your hand
<

I notice you have not posted a vid of your technique with running commentary

Your posts prove your ignorance and arrogance, and that's why i can no longer be arsed.

Arab says "a slide is initiated with the rear brake.

You are agreeing with me here.

You are just here for the Bopper Bitchfest Rog. Simple as that. Pretty sad eh.

some riders do initiate it using the brake, i used to use just gears and clutch for tarmac. You say gears and brake have nothing to do with it. your wrong and nit picking for the sake of argument, end of !

Don't misquote me Berry or take it out of context. For the record if you're going to attribute something to me use a genuine quote - you'll find I can spell the word 'by' unlike yourself. I have qualified what I meant on about 15 posts now - and as you well know, I have differentiated innumerable times between a powerslide and backing it in. You said that when slowing for a corner you slide your 749s 'with ease'. You apparently achieve that without the use of either downshifting or rear brake, but by purely closing the throttle - well done.

Also, why do you keep referring to me as a 'bopper?' On behalf of who?

Backing a bike in is achieved by the utilising the rear brake and the downshift. As I pointed out, the link you provided on your own post on this very thread confirms precisely that you imbecile.

Whenever someone calls you out or proves you wrong - you simply ignore it.

I say again, a very crude example but a lucid one all the same.

No you didn't you posted some pictures lifted from photobucket of some guy on a motocross bike which you said was you. Being as you have a history of going back and editing your own posts, it was very probably you that contemplated removing these once Pigeon and I rumbled you. Why would the mods delete these? Answer is, they haven't - they're all still there you fool.

I'm tired of you, and your childish pretensions. Really Berry, I don't much care what you think, and similarly why should you give a rats arse about my opinion either. Like the gyro thread - your idiotic posts which speak for themselves are there for all to see - the more you post the more you indict yourself.

Trav is right. I refuse to feed you anymore. You refuse to digest what anyone says and regurgitate the same junk every time you post. Chockmoose prodded the ignore button months ago, and you ceased to exist.
