Studded Tires

I live on a lake that freezes over in the winter...I was wondering if anybody had any experience with studded dirt bike tires.

Has anybody made their own? Or is buying them really the best option? (although they seem to be very expensive)

Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated!

the only studded tyres ive seen are on ice speedway bikes.

nah theyre out there..they are just way too expensive. Many people make their own but idk how good it would be compared to something you buy.
