In a optimal Krop World there would be only Rossi Hero in a Yamaha vs [some bad villain] in a Honda.
I think there are plenty of us who have continued to lurk but find no reason to contribute. Perhaps we'll resurrect this place once things get moving again. I think 2015 will be a more compelling season than 14.
Migs won't like it because Redding will still suck but I think Dovi will show up front and I also predict JL will have a much better showing.
Who is "his" good sir? Jumkie's times a aren't terribly noteworthy.
Oh, perhaps. At any rate, everyone should know by now that those times are almost never divulged. HRC knows that Casey is never going to race again so I suspect his times are sufficient to provide reasonable test results, otherwise, why pay him? Clearly he's still faster than the HRC test mule otherwise I doubt they'd pay for his services. I doubt he's even as fast as Dani at the moment but faster than the next best tester they've got available.
I know they do not "normally" disseminate a test riders times.....But it has happened before in the past. You are probably right, that Stoners lap times are slower then the likes of Dani and Marc, but I'd still love to see these numbers "leaked" (for lack of better words) as I'm sure 98% of us would.

I would not be too sure that Stoners times were significantly slower. I reckon they would be right up there. Stoner had a talent for being immediately fast on what ever he rode. He went straight to the top of the time sheet as soon as he jumped on a motogp bike years ago. That was with a team who also had zero experience of the bike. With the weight of Honda behind him at a test I would not at al be surprised if he was on the pace. People are forgetting that Stoner is a freak. No-one can do what Stoner can do on a bike. They all admitted as such.
No doubt. I'm a huge admirer of his so who knows. I'd like to think he's still got it but frankly and sadly, it's immaterial. He's never coming back. His penchant for running at the top during qualy in only a few laps was truly impressive to watch. Others were out running as many laps as they could and Casey would emerge, run 3, top the sheet and head for the pits.

attract other old timers out of the shadows and make the phoenix rise. Kinda like those movies with all the 65 year-old
actions stars getting together for one last adventure in a vintage WW2 bomber to rescue the world.

It took a Stoner thread to bring everyone back out of the woodwork.
He does a couple of days testing and gets more attention that 75% of the guys on the grid this year.
Imagine if he was back on the grid, the activity here would be back on.
Even worse for the EPP, as someone named them, put Stoner and Miller together in a team on factory Hondas.

Not expecting to be the same. But there's new blood out there. Could be better. Trying to be forward-looking, rather than pining for the past. What will be will be.
